  • On this week's episode of The Airgun Show, Mark Ripley takes the Brocock Ranger out for some plinking and pest control, and finds this neat compact rifle packs quite a punch with precision accuracy.

    Had mine for about a month now and absolutely love it. The BRK Pathfinder XR that is due out also looks to be a really good bit of kit, with additional shot count due to the 300cc bottle.

    Pigeons, rabbits, empty shotgun hulls, and mushrooms are a unique target list. I like it Mark.

    NICE! I bought the Diana Bandit .22 and it pushes 16 grain pellets at 700 FPS just about 3 years ago for 180$ added a camo stock from Canada for 60$ and a UTG Accushot 3-12X44 SFP W/SF and I swear it is an absolute tack driving little compact unit you can take anywhere! Grandkids love it for the size and weight and accuracy out to 30 yards. These smaller PCPs are taking the market by storm and for good reason! They fill a niche that needed filled. Awesome gun you have there and a really nice piece of kit. Thanks for the get away.

    Another great video and a wicked little gun! On another note, In the nicest possible way (and I sincerely mean that) you remind me more and more of Jacques Lafleur from Harry and the Henderson’s.

    What pellets are you using Mark. I also have a Ranger in .22. I've been really struggling to get a consistent zero, but have tried so many pellets.

      I’m using rangemaster sovereign pellets, recommended by Brocock, seems to like them 👍

      Yes they are not cheap but I use them for my foxing too where they earn their keep! However units such as the Hik falcon are probably even sharper and half the price 👍

    Love to see Mark and the airguns but why do you keep showing the same episode that we have seen already this week ? If it's the airguns bit put it there and leave it out of the other ! Don't get me wrong, I love and have airguns as well ( powder burners 😂😂 ) but we don't need repeats 👍

      The airgun stuff goes out on both channels, not really sure why they have decided to do that 🤷🏻‍♂️

      @@260rips I guess it's because they know better than us, people that watch air guns only watch that and people that watch centre fire only watch what they are interested in, both the same ! I love all shooting and use both for what I do as a hobby and a job for the farmers I halp for free, thanks for replying, it shows you are in the real world and not being sponsored out 👍👍👍

    Climbing over a fence with your air rifle in your hand, tut tut.

      If the weapons safe it’s safe mate. Do think soldiers put down their rifles every time they tackle an obstacle. 😂

    • @guysingleton9611
      @guysingleton9611 Год назад

      @Bill Dickinson He isn't a soldier, he is out hunting. Cimbing over an obstacle with a rifle in your hand is bad practice, whichever way you look at it. My point is,, less experienced people may be watching. It gives the wrong impression. There was an opportunity missed here to demonstrate the rifle was safe before climbing over the fence.

    You say all that about sound on sticks and you make a massive racket getting over the fence ! And the Farmer will be Happy with you braking his fence not only that you should put gun down empty over then go over . if you fall you could have shoot u self mark !! Come on new shooters whatch this set the tone mate !!!!! 😊😊

    • @260rips
      @260rips Год назад +6

      The tie Mic makes things seem a lot louder! However, some noise is unavoidable. There is also no gate into the woodland as it’s fenced off to keep livestock out. It’s also common practice on all farms I shoot on, every shoot I’ve been on and with every farmer I’ve been out with to climb over stock fencing. Climbing by a post with the fencing securely stapled to it shouldn’t damage it.
      The tip about how to walk through woodland was for educational purposes to new shooters. Climbing a fence with an unloaded gun isn’t dangerous, perhaps I should have filmed me unloading it but if I filmed every single thing I did it would be a very long video! 😉👍
