You can get the dust off the felt in those vintage jewelry boxes with tape. Just put it down and peel it back off. They’ll look as good as new. That was a cute one!
To get dust off velvet and felt just use blue painters tape, press it onto the fabric and gently lift off. The dust will come off and the pull will lift and fluff the fibers back nicely!
💯% right 😊! It's a base for a ginger jar or chinoiserie cache pot🪴. My parent's 😍adored Asian porcelain. ♻️ Finely crafted piece that deserves to be saved from the landfill🗑. Worthy as a pedestal to display a bust/figurine🗿, candle🕯, or other collectible🏺. Can give an ✨️objet d' art✨️ more visual weight or significance. 😉Can sometimes sit under a serving bowl 🥣 to make a buffet more interesting w/varying levels. Sometimes you can find a glass cheese dome that can work as a cloche to highlight a petite vignette like small Bible & a cross or dollhouse furniture. Great also for ephemera like vintage photo & old camera or swap seasonal postcards. 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
Hi Danielle 💓 Lincoln and Jackson I really love the goodwill bins we don't have them in Arizona not that I know but they seem like so much fun thanks for sharing and ur French picture is so beautiful over ur bed 😊 totally genius always Laura
Or you can upcycle the art print. Use the frame. Paint a board and put a transfer on it. Super easy to do. The frame is gorgeous. And those “wood” risers might have belonged to a figurine. A lot of bone china figurines came with wood bases. I’m surprised you didn’t grab that big hardcover green garden book. And those wooden spoons. So many uses for those wooden spoons. Garden markers. I’ve seen them used as a valance in a kitchen window. Drill holes if they don’t have holes. And string them across. Or on a rod.
You always find the coolest things. I'm so glad you bought that book by Clarence Day. If you've ever heard of a movie called "Life With Father", Clarence Day is the author of that story as well. It is the cutest movie, so if you've never seen it you'll have to watch it. Family friendly and just so sweet. I love seeing all your posts! You are so darling!! Thank you ❤️
Wrap some wrapping tape around some fingers and tack up dust or velvet with little nooks. Vacuum of course works too but sometimes the nozzle won’t clean the tight areas. Yup! I knew it’d be the picture. 😊
Hi Danielle!I like the things you found.I like that little old fashioned frame/mirror combination! Now wait for it!!My husband and I have that same Vicyirian picture above our bed but a real painting!!!!!!!!Its pretty, right?!!!!!!Enjoy your goodies!!!!!!😁🌷🦋🌼🌹🐞🌻
Oh! My Goodness! What treasures you found!! beautiful pieces...the picture is Gorgeous...looks beautiful above your bed! The metal mirror reminds of either Moroccan or the Taj Mahal! You've got such a great eye! Thanks for taking us along
Love all your doilies etc in your beautiful sheet music cabinet. I feel like you..hard to see these old pretty things go to the trash. Like how you said re-donating it gives it another chance. I was a little worried about you cutting your hand in the bins...is broken glass a possibility??
Great video and haul! As soon as I saw the large vintage framed picture, I knew you would buy it. I would have bought it too. I recently found a beautiful oil painting that had some cracking. I only paid $2.00 for it so I decided try giving it a good layer of Mod Podge. It was amazing how much it helped the looks of the painting! It really brightened the whole painting. You might want to try that on your large print. Might save it for a little while longer.
That painting looks wonderful above your bed. Question.......do you have a tip for getting the old smell out of old bibles and books? I have a couple still on my porch after a month or more, hoping they would air out; but the odor is still there.
Oh please if u don’t like the picture please I’ll pay u for it! I’ve been looking for one like that My Grandma use to have that exact same picture over her bed! Love it! We don’t have a Goodwill Bins here in Lucasville Ohio! Love your Home!
I see someone else caught the book by Clarence Day and mentioned it. The book "life With Father" is very funny and cute too. Loved the print above the bed. I would have grabbed the Girl Scout tin...so cute, too!
@@HomeMadeVintage 😊Once you do that, consider steam cleaning w/vodka or vinegar solution mixed w/water (equal parts) to remove any lingering grime & odors👃. It will help disinfect & usually leave a fresher scent once it dissipates. 👍Good haul. Like your Vintage Victorian flair. ♻️Thx for saving pretty stuff from the landfill🗑. 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct )
@@HomeMadeVintage 💗Do love quirky old paintings 🖼 . They add such personality to a space or gallery wall〰️esp. when framed well like the one you snagged! Serious soft spot for 🐴equestrian & livestock🐮, even the fruit🍇 still art you shuffled before that was kinda interesting. Also attracted to roses💐 & other botanical🌿 art. DIY Tip: If it's a print, you can paint a thin clear gesso layer to give an appearance of oil 🖌brush strokes. Works well on poster art. 🤫The bins are an excellent place to source oversized art. They often 💲price 'em way too high in our regular stores. 🤔Even the thick mod blonde wood round you looked at could make an interesting pedestal for serving food (&/or display). •Sand, restain darker or paint. •Add wooden knobs or beads for bun feet. For extra height, you could glue an upside wooden bowl or round trinket box. (Use hot glue for a more short-term project〰️wood or other more powerful glue if you want it more permanent.) Or, turn it into a lazy susan. •When the wood round is thick, you can often find cool wooden laurel leaves & other appliques at the hardware or craft store to apply that would make a contemporary piece look antique too. 🙂It wouldn't be food safe as a cheeseboard, but you can put a white round paper doily on top for a cake 🎂 or stack of brownies. Better yet, you can place a pretty bowl 🥣 or 🥧 pie plate on top. The 🎼Piano Duet 🎹 book makes great ephemera. It can be taken apart, pages dipped in tea🍵 or coffee☕️ to give impression of age. (Avocado pits/skin🥑 can be boiled to create a pink dye for pages too.) Perfect for decoupage, junk journals, scrapbooking, a matte for a black & white photo📸, or framed art. 💚Bridget from Cali☘️ (using my pal's YT acct)
In some ways you are predictable (your decorating style) but never would I have predicted that you would hide your snacks from your husband (poor baby). Please tell me that you are not trying to take away his camo crocs.😂. Nice haul.

I absolutely love the painting above your bed! My parents had a similar painting in our house when growing up, which was above living room sofa.
Hi Danielle, the round stand you found is actually an Asian stand for a Chinese ginger jar. It Is most likely a vintage piece and is pretty popular.

I had the same print you bought today and also hung it in my bedroom.
The frame on that picture that you hung over your bed is a antique antique frame i collect those and it is worth $100 just the frame
Stiff paint brush works really well cleaning out jewelry boxes. Gets the dust out of the velvet.

Loved your finds - the round white doily piece is gorgeous! And love the beautiful art above your bed.
You can use a dryer sheet or nylons to get lint off.
My mom had that same framed picture. I have it now. Maybe I’ll hang it in my bedroom. As kids we had names for all the people. Lol
Love your channel
Thank you!
That picture over your bed sells for hundreds of dollars on eBay and I have sold one in my booth for almost 300.00.
The other picture frame was also gorgeous, I hope it don't go to the landfill!
I also brought home the framed vintage calander artwork but I forgot to share it!
@@HomeMadeVintage nice!
How can I find you one ebay? I wanted to see about getting the. Christmaa sequin sew ons?
I haven’t posted them yet. Hopefully soon.
I have seen other RUclipsrs use tape to pull off the dust from the fabric and jewelry boxes
Oh good idea!

I am going to try the game. Hope my brain is not to old.😂
Don’t you drive? Just asking because you mentioned Derrick driving you to the bins.
Lol yes but it’s in one of the most dangerous parts of Houston and I don’t go alone
Did you get the horse picture?
The painting? No I didn’t…I just wasn’t in love with it.

Worse case scenario put another picture in the beautiful frame

He is not a poor baby lol if anything it should be poor ME!
You're so cute. 😊
Theres a difference between vintage and Antique......I LOVE VINTAGE NOT A FAN OF ANTIQUES ( HEAVY, DARK, AND DUSTY😳)
