I smiled throughout this whole video. I love how engaging you are when speaking with them and how happy they are to see someone not Chinese speaking their language so well. This video deserves more views.
I’m honestly shocked to see how friendly the Chinese people are, because here in the West they’re painted as unfriendly and unwelcoming and that they live under communist rules. So seeing your interaction with them and how welcoming they are to you as a Nigerian is very heart-warming. Kudos to you for learning their language and speaking it so fluently.
Ah nahhh. They’re one of the most hospitable people ever especially here in my city. Obviously not every single one of them are nice but trust me the majority of them are warm and always willing to help.
6:53 - I love it, and could easily picture this exchange going the same way in any culture: woman asks man if he's married, man's friend teases him, man acts like he's going to hit friend, other woman looks on in amusement... everybody smiles and has a good time.
This type of stuff does not get old. Seeing both you and the people laughing, learning, and exploring cultures is just neat and heartwarming. Keep on the video!
I love how the people in the blue uniforms were engaging with you! You can see that they enjoyed having a conversation with you! The musician+singer is very talented!

The Chinese red army of workers and peasants. China is prosperous and strong today, and the source is this revolutionary army. The Red Army is under the leadership of the CCP.
The way the Chinese act when they hear you speak their language is the same way we Nigerians act when we see a European speak our language. That surprise behavior is universal.
Amazing! That young girl will never forget you. So impressed that you learned Chinese. So wonderful to break down barriers. Wishing you much success in your ventures. Stay Safe and God Bless.
So happy all of you were happy and discussing , I am Nigerian in America I have never seen any black , Asian , white people or any other group of people happy together like this , in Newyork city where I have lived for 27years everyone mind their own business , this was really amazing to watch .
This is very accurate 😂 I’m a tall (193cm) black male foreigner also living in Shanghai. Whenever I go to other parts of China the locale always want to engage me and take pictures. They are usually surprised to learn I speak Chinese 🤣 it’s almost a shock to the system
Because Chinese is recognized as the TOP 1 most difficult language in the world. It is not easy for foreign friends to speak it. But once you learn Chinese, it will be like God opened a door for you. Let you understand new things and cultures.

This was a fun vlog! I am so impressed with your Chinese because I could never pick it up... And I love that you are so engaging and open! Keep up the great work!
It's mostly ignorance that makes us all have particular views about certain people and our experiences help shape us in either a positive or negative way. I'm 41 now but growing up in Nigeria, Chinese movies were staples, it was Chinese, American and Nollywood, in that order for me. If you were not Chinese or Japanese, well I don't know you, any Asian was either Chinese or Japanese and that's how they see us as well, as long as we're black, we're from Africa. Having people travel to their country and having experiences with them helps to change their mindset. I loved this and please continue to show us more (while I sit and finish my cdrama 😆) 😍😍😍
Though this was done a year ago, I still find it very entertaining and invigorating. Am sure you have more recent content. Keep them coming Uche. I also confirm that you are a very beautiful girl 👌It also very good that you say that to yourself. That is very important👍👍👍

Sharing your thoughts, whether they're good or bad is priceless! Best of luck in all of your future ventures and thank you for creating such good content!
Yeah you are so right! That’s why China was kicking Africans out of China 🇨🇳 saying they gave everyone Covid lol 😆. They forced Africans out of their homes and hotels. You idiots always have to try and say negative things about the US any chance you get but run to our Country to make a living! The US didn’t throw Africans on the streets and out of our country blaming them for Covid.
Just beautiful to see the face of that little girl light up when you spoke to her in Chinese. The whole world would get along if the governments would just let us.
Very interesting video UC. I think Chinese are naturally humble...see how the uni students were all there giving you the necessary attention. Some Nigerians will just walk out lol. Was gonna ask if you learned the language when you got there but from the video, I realized you started learning the language b4 you moved to China. You're so fluent. I wish I can learn too. Keep it up dear.
This was actually so heartwarming. I've heard so many stories about black experiences in China that I still don't know if I could ever visit. The stories seemed way worse than other Asian countries by comparison. Anyway, it's so moving to see people engage in that way, even the little girl coming up and speaking English to a black foreigner was touching in itself. The group engagement reminds me of *Laoshu505000* who was a black American RUclipsr who'd converse with people in dozens of languages, but mostly in Mandarin and Cantonese. Even seeing the way people's faces would light up when he'd switch to Cantonese (which most foreigners don't learn) or local dialects is so enjoyable. Back to this channel, though, I'd seen her videos before, but this one really put a smile on my face.
This video brings back memories of when I lived in China over 10 years ago, soo much nostalgia and similar experiences as you. And I’m sad because it will be a while before I can travel there again. I really want to show my mom this wonderful place😔❤️
I enjoyed the video; especially the small girl's excitement🤩😍 Kudos!! Meanwhile, when you talk of your beauty, remember say na God do am.😊😊 So give Him, the acknowledgement and appreciate Him always.
Your Chinese is so good....it's good to speak other languages other than English...I studied for 1 year in Moscow Russia for the prep school and another 4 years in Odessa Ukraine...I speak fluent Russian, Bulgarian, Polish, Romanian and punjabi language of India.
I really like the sound of chinese and want to learn it. I actually know a lot of phrases because of cdramas. But the tones are putting me off 😭. I wish i was as fluent as you
Keep going trust me it’s so worth it do more than the phrases though start by learning some very common words like is=是 shi. I/me=我 wo , You = 你 ni , this= 这 zhe, thank you =谢谢 xie xie , just by learning these words you will start picking up on them when you watch c dramas and from there just keep building I can speak a good amount now and I only started like half a year ago
@@kenxd585 xie xie ni for the encouragement, i think ill have another go! Mandarin seems relatively easy when listening to cdrams and a lot of times i can understand a sentence without eng subs but one can't afford to mess up on tones. Are there any useful resources that helped you with tones?
@@BT-cm7xp my best advice don’t worry about the tones at first no one will judge you for messing up and most of the time you can use context to understand what they are actually saying wait until you can speak more once u find some words that are spelled the same and sound similar but mean different things and have different characters like 像 and 想 one meaning like/similair the other meaning want/intent (that’s a simplified definition) they are both spelled Xiang and sound similar but have different tones and meanings honestly a great way to improve tones is by watching c dramas hearing native speakers improves your listening and accent in the end just start honestly you will not regret it once you get more advanced you can look closer at tones and characters and proper grammar
I'm a non native speaker and Mandarin Chinese learner, based on my experience although tone is important you can do a trick by making sure you're speaking in the right sentence structure and ofcourse in the right context. Also don't conjugate the sound of characters..as there are many characters that have 2-3 syllables try to enunciate each syllable/character as clearly as possible..this is how I survive living in China...my tone was off most of the time but the locals still get me because of this trick
Love this. Some of the warmest, kindest people are in China. I always felt safe and warmly welcomed wherever I went. One time I got on the wrong bus to go home to my university and got totally lost. Everyone on the bus came together to help me find my way home, unforgettable memory ❤️

You are a réal down to earth scholar.
You have prepared yourself in the most practical way for studies in à foreign country by learning the language. Not many persons think of doing this.
I wish you only success in your endeavours and the challenges you may face. May God shower you with abundant blessings.
❤️❤️
Oh i love it inspiring to study the current business language

Yo Chinese ppl are so friendly even when u can speak or have interest in culture like they will compliment you too as well and say you are good looking or something haha gives you much confidence
Excellent video. I am sure you will succeed in whatever career/ business you will pursue. I am from a Chinese heritage but I can’t speak fluent Mandarin. Been trying for years/ decades.☹️

You changed the world right there, in that little time you opened so many minds.
This is what I explain to my friends in Nigeria that Chinese are friendly people and when I visited China 30 years ago I was like Eddie Murphy in coming to America and in place of work in Japan and most of my co-workers are Chinese and they are very kind to me as well
Love this video, and you strutting around like a model.🤣 Wow, that meal is something else, what a spread, yummy! Btw, you Chinese is really on point, how long does it take you to learn the lingo?
Haha, I can’t lie the food that day was DELICIOUS!!! It took me a year plus to start speaking but I’m honestly still learning everyday
That's cool. May this be constitutive of a bridge on which constructive things flow towards Africa and towards China. In other words, may it be mutual blessing.
