    those artifacts don't mean they went farther inland. Could of been traded from whoever killed them

      Except there's no recorded evidence of a conflict to have occurred at Roanoke, John White himself claimed that when he came back to the site, it was as abandoned as you can get, all of the buildings and defensive walls were torn down as if they weren't even there. There was almost no sign of any activity, except for the messages left behind.

      @@VanNguyen-nq4sm And there's also the fact that the settlers had agreed to mark a cross in the event of an attack has taken place before John White's arrival.

    There's also significant evidence that they were captured and enslaved by the local Amerindians over the course of time... even for decades there is recorded evidence that these soldier-settlers were seen, and whisked away before any rescue operation could be launched. One of the major reasons for the settlement at Jamestown was to find and rescue these survivors from their enslavement.

    its 91 men ,17 women , and 9 children.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! there were 117 people there!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      No it's 90 men, 20 women, and 10 children. So that makes 120 people.
