The sonic harmony and voicing between bass line and cello chords are perfect. Doesn't even clash with the piano part. The instrument choices are like a bach simfonia. All seperate parts are unique but together fits like a perfect puzzle.
I thinks the fretless aspect is what makes it mesh better than a standard guitar on chord duty.

are there a lot of all-English K-pop songs nowadays?
There are a few that I'm aware of, but I think most things would just combine Korean and English
