I was born and raised in Macon, Ga. and lived on Clisby Place, 2 blocks from the Big House on Vineville Ave. I am from that era and used to be a studio guitarist/bass player for 15 years and been playing for 58 years total. I had personal and up close associations with the ABB and still do with some of the living members. II qualify myself only to say... Pay no attention to all the juvenile, jealous critics, that don't know WTF they're talking about. This guy is absolutely on it, spot on it ! To all you critics I am anxiously awaiting your videos demonstrating your skills with a slide. Show us how it's done . (what's that ? Crickets ?)

Honestly, there are some good ones out there. But none are as good, or exactly the same. Such a shame he died so young. Can you imagine the good music he could have put out.

100% agree. The slide tone here is awesome, but it doesn’t sound like Duane, because nobody does. Nobody is able to get the attack and balls Duane had with his slide tone, and no one probably ever will. Duane was one of one.

Yep when I worked at Capricorn Studio one day I cleaned out the Loft in the practice room. there was a whole case of corecedin bottles just waiting on Duane should he need one. It was sad but special Duane had been gone about 3 years by the time i found them. He's in my heart ❤ forever.

Without Duane, there wasn't a chance the album Layla would have never been made. Without him Live At The Fillmore would would have never been, maybe the greatest live in rock history. Yea i didnt mean to be hateful or judgmental at all. So sorry if it sounded like that. You Can damn sure play slide better than ill ever be able to. Duane is a tuff topic for me lol. But yes ive heard hours and hours of duane playing. Named my daughter layla in honor of Duane and have seen almost 40 ABB shows before they called it quits in 14. So again didnt mean to hate at all. Duane is kinda a god to me who got me into every band i love now. Much love tho

@@wesleybohannon1 It's good to be critical but so much is clouded by the recording and the energy of a show that is next to impossible to replicate, also how loud they could turn it up which adds layers of difficulty to discerning if it's an accurate representation or not.
