The one thing that GATE never really explained is HOW in the holy hells are they keeping the deployed units supplied. Do you know how much in food, fuel, parts, ammo, etc that a base that size would suck up in 1 day alone?! You'd need a rail system through that tunnel to keep it coming through on pace.

Average ratio for support to shooter is for every Soldier that's a combat troop, there are 8 support troops for him. Not to mention that they have to run these huge convoys through a major city day and night. A rail system would make more sense but would disrupt traffic whole sale.
if u think about it they were able to role in tanks so if they just rolled in the other things like that cargo and planes and ammo it can be done the same way. also why do u care about that cause the storyline overall is f`ing amazing
we don't know how long are pauses between scenes (like the promotion or medal our main protagonist got, do you think preparing such thing is 10 minute job? at least few days) we can surely assume weeks maybe months we can see lot of things that you won't get in one evening in the anime like they have maps of the surrounding areas or they know their language, those things take time to get (create) and even tho it takes time to transport supplies, weeks/months of transporting them via trucks will be enough to secure area and bring enough weapons and supplies ... also let keep in mind they don't need to use military trucks, they can use normal ones that have more space because they won't drive on terrain that requires military trucks, just to other side of the GATE and from there military trucks can supplie outposts etc. we also need to remember they are not in constant state of war so they won't use that much supplies mostly propably fuel and food which easly you could transport with trucks or the creators just don't care about supplies, how they learned their language etc.
I find that silly idea a sort of Neo Japanese Imperial type anime, thew background of the story is that the unchecked power of the modern Japanese military can be compared with the ruthlessness of the Imperial years in WWII.
