    Go on a retreat.
I spent a week in a tiny cabin on top of a mountain, without a phone or books, strictly allowing myself only to meditate, rest, and walk around. By day 3 my creativity was THROUGH THE ROOF. I mean, telling myself stories using colourful sticks I'd brought with me and performing shakespeare for myself. My mind was just BRIMMING with creativity and joy.

A long time ago I read this book called “how to draw on the right side of your brain” by Dr Betty Edward’s. What she went to describe made so much sense to me that I went from barely drawing with perspective to drawing exactly what I see. This began my journey into anatomy since I used anatomy to practice. What she described was ‘left brain’ vs ‘right brain thinking. I don’t know how accurate it is but it works. If you draw in left brain (labels on words, concept of time, language, analytical behavior) then your drawing becomes distorted because of pre-conceived notions. Like the legs of a chair being equal length but what you really see is the leg that is closest to you is the largest. She stated in right brain thinking you have no concept of time, language or analytical behavior and at that moment your tapping into the spectral visual side and drawing becomes natural and you can draw exactly what you see. Regardless if this is an illusion or not the outcome rings true.

I know Dr. Huberman probably won't endorse it, but occasionally when I have something creative to do or plan I clear out the evening, make myself cozy, play some music and have a few, and then I let my mind wander while occasionally nudging it back to the topic and I dictate or bulletpoint or sketch ideas that come to me. Really productive and enjoyable for me and I think I got some very good things out of it I wouldn't came up with in my usually busy, teeth clenched focus mode.

I have had trouble with my daily life “routines” and tasks from the age of 21 or so till now.
I, however, have tried adapt to the expectations of my environment and my everyday activities to get things done around the house.
I never put 2 and 2 together until now.
Reflecting on my challenges, mistakes and victories I can make a better map to navigate my day and feel like I have accomplished something.
This is very helpful and life changing for me.
I can’t explain the feeling of having this tangible understanding of what I can do to improve my life one day at time.
I mean, now that I have this puzzle coming together for the first time I can finally get to see what my hard work will look like.
    Thank you.

Professor Andrew, thank you for your work, it's awesome to know how our mind and brain opperates, it trully facinates me. You've mentioned that we tend to be more creative on our sleepy relaxed states - what i've found out about myself is that i get way more creative when i am doing those tasks that needs almost 0 effort, my mind goes around a lot of places and makes connections with subjects that i already know and new stuff that i've been studying or watching.
What happens next is that, when i find myself on a more focused and alert state, all those creative ideas that i had seems fool, or stupid and i don't implement them. It's a battle against my own beliefs to get even one simple idea implemented.

Unfortunately, I had to get a TPO since he's 6'6, over 300 pounds, and showing violent behavior, constantly talking about harming others. He's aggressive. I had to pause my martial arts training while I was listening, and I want to help those who don't want to consume caffeine or who don't do well with caffeine intake. Throughout my health journey, I have found some interesting alternatives that would be extremely beneficial, such as electrolytes, herbal teas like ginseng or peppermint, adaptogenic herbs like ashwagandha and rhodiola, B vitamins, L-theanine, maca root, chia seeds, dark chocolate, physical activity, and adequate sleep. Make sure whatever you consume is as organic as possible! Also, stay away from refined carbs, sugar, artificial ingredients, GMOs, etc., because these will absolutely destroy your body, deplete you of nutrients, and God only knows what else.
For me, I get up every morning at 4:30 AM, and the first thing I do is take care of my chickens. Once that is done, I grab my distilled/filtered water and add my electrolytes to it, but I don't drink it right away. I begin my workout, starting with the warm-up. As I gradually enter the main workout, I drink my water as needed. Once the main workout is done, I go to the cool-down phase, which helps lower my blood pressure, aids muscle recovery, reduces soreness, etc. By this point, I also finish my water. Why? The electrolytes help aid the recovery process by replenishing the nutrients your body lost during the workout.
As Mr. Huberman suggested, sleep is a big part of our well-being as well. Do not skimp on this for any reason. If you suffer from insomnia, it is really up to you to take care of it. The bare minimum should be 7 hours, and the maximum should be 9 hours. Everything Andrew talked about has really helped me with my sleep schedule, as well as correcting my diet. Once I did that, the rest followed suit. That's just my two cents on the matter.

Thank you so much for your work and your desire to share science with people. I really appreciate it, it`s really valuable to me, Dr Huberman! You inspire me as a Christian, too. I have a question for you, that I would really want to get the answer to from your podcast. I`ve tried to do some research now but I`d like to get an answer from a specialist like you. How does chinese tea (pu-erh, gaba tea, white tea, green tea) affect brain and body? Endocrine system and psychological effect of tea. As a psychology student and a former addict, it is very interesting to me how Chinese tea, especially fermented tea, with the acids that are created in the process, can affect ones brain, dopamine pathways and if it can be addictive and somehow cause people to get "high". I would really like to know more regarding this question. Maybe you could recommend some research sources or episode where you covered that question? Thank you once more for your contribution in society and it`s mental and physical health. Your podcasts truly change my life, even in little aspects, to better.

When/how do you optimize oxytocin?? It's such a powerful circadian signal, and though it's very subject to social jet lag & other interpersonal ques, we are social animals after all, when is it best for our rhythms to get oxytocin in? What is it signaling for, what's down stream from there, & when is it best placed? When is our social acuity strongest? (you can't tell me that stays consistent all day)
Do we signal it by grooming socially? Eat at an actual dinner table? Adopt a gratitude practice or spirituality? Do puzzles with loved ones? Cuddle? Talk at least 30 min a week to just talk with the household? Bonding? Address disgust sensitivity (a feature of oxytocin sensitivity) i.e. cleaning something?
I know this is supposed to be "common sense" but in context to circadian sense we're flying blind (or so it seems); can we hear about this?

If a person is able to capture and translate synesthesia through some means, that would be pretty creative.

@@spoders92 … a person’s creativity output may be affected by sleep , but sleep itself does not determine creativity … “Creativity is the curiosity of possibilities.” …

Want to become a fan of your Channel. Very informative for people who haven't any background in neuron scince. Honestly, the way you organize your thought is confusing. And your words have too much redundancy. The former 2 or 3 hours interviews were nautually redundant because they are interviews. This 30-minute post is the same, which makes me wonder if you really have a scientific mind set.😂
