My all time favorite junkyard tool kit:
Crescent 170 Pc. General Purpose Tool Set - Closed Case - CTK170CMP2: amzn.to/2VQDxtF
Baby Giraffe Video I Spoke Of: ruclips.net/video/qlWv6RhsVmc/видео.html
I watch because I like to
Your junkyard kit is my main tool kit!😂
Baby giraffe video I spoke of. 😂😂😂😂.
Love your videos Eric! I've learned a ton from them and they are always entertaining. Been looking for a new tool kit to keep in my 4Runner. The Crescent kit was in my Amazon wish list, now that it has the Eric O seal of approval I think I'll pull the trigger on it!
Q: What does a lesbian have in common with a mechanic?
A: Snap-on tools!
'took the AC machine back to the shop so it wouldn't get wet.' ROFL That's the story and I'm sticking to it.
I saw the a/c machine fyi
Yup. Got the same AC machine myself.
yeah right!
I seen it also, think it had a red handle and flipped open 🤣
@@maingun07 yup. me too!
I love how this video shows that when it's your own stuff you're like me "good enough, it works!!" But you take such care, attention to detail and respect to customer vehicles
The verdict is in, Mrs. O must be a part of all future SMA videos.
Sean Horton shes adorable.
Wish my significant other enjoyed hanging out with me when working in the shop, or going junkyarding. Mr. O is certainly a lucky man.
Its the only reason we tun in Just dont tell Eric...( he thinks its for him....DUH)
Best Mr and Mrs O video ever. She's absolutely precious.
We just need more videos with Mrs. O behind the camera. She’s killing me.
Yeah she was giving eric advice 😂 for us or asking questions lol or just giving him hell I loved it 😂
She is funny, I like how she gives Mr O a hard time.
I agree she is a hoot 😃
AND GREAT LOOKIN' TOO!!!!
Dirt floor garage, coal stove torch, hand saw and in the middle of the woods... I have found the Abraham Lincoln of auto repair... I've reached the bottom of the youtube rabbit hole that I fell into, I guess... Love it....
This video was a nice change of pace from the others. Pure entertainment.
People who have watched you for any length of time, Eric, know what a superb mechanic you are, and we like your personality. You also have a great family, whose presence in your videos we also value. Keep up the good work, young man.
We need a T-shirt that says “that was already broke”.
Khori Carnes yes!
@Southmainauto I would buy that shirt.
Same
Haha
And..."Don't know where those came from"...
We watch this stuff because it's better than anything on TV
Craigslist be like... “mechanic owned jeep” ready to go! Just like brand new!
HAHAHAHA
Farmin44 Brand new second hand.
Yes!
I looked for this comment.
I saw a car on craigslist once that said "runs and drives great. Needs engine" hahaha
I fell for that once.... 5 years later, I've pulled untold amounts of drywall screws, zip ties, and elechicken's tape out of it 😂 but the engine still purrs at 260k👌
Mrs. O is the calmest woman I've ever met. Nothing gets her worked up. Whether it's kids screaming, standing in the rain in a junk yard or whatever else Eric or the world throws at her, she just keep rolling along. That's a girl that's at peace with herself and the world.
When he has all of his proper tools at the shop, the work goes smoothly (for the most part). Once he starts to work in his barn/backyard like the most of us, that's when the repair work suddenly becomes accurate. Lol
Best part was when the saw came off the wall.
Not enough saying the most vile swear words known to man and throwing tools though.
Has full repair shop, works on it in a tiny barn.
@@bobgsmith101011 isnt street legal to drive it there! And aparently is more respomsible than the rest of us
Now when he sees a half @ss repair he doesnt have to wonder why its like that! Because some poor fella was crawling around in the mude when it was 15'f
“Looks like a nice set”
“YOU got a nice set”
“So do you”
Classic. Love it. 🤣
Andrew Warkentin Eric also lost “two nuts”
My favorite quote. :)
Reminds me of when I was a kid, our neighbor was an old Army vet and he used to let me drive one of his old WW2 Jeeps on his land, he had 700 acres that had been in his family since the late 1700's. He had about 10 old Jeeps in all manners of shape from show quality to rust buckets. The one I drove was in pretty good shape and had a Ford 2300 4 cylinder engine mated to the original 4 speed tranny. Good times, now he's dead and I'm 54, sure miss the simpler times.
I recently subscribed, even though I'm not a mechanic. I'm just a guy who used to pretend to be a shade tree DIY mechanic back when I couldn't afford you guys. Now, listening to you work on cars is like audiotherapy. For the last two nights, I've fallen asleep while listening to you talk about stuff I have no clue about, but I sure wish I did.
Thank you, sir!
I totally bought the fact that the A/C was drained with the A/C machine
I didn't but it looked good for the do-gooders
@@marty0715yt lol I was being sarcastic haha
That is funny as hell I didn't catch that either obviously AC machines not at his house but I bet it didn't have much of a charge anyway
This is how most people work or outside in the rain. But dirt floor with tractors around 👍pretty cool. We are grateful for God and your Dad for your talent of being a mechanic. And helping us with your videos!
This may be my favorite SMA video yet. You guys rock. "We took the A/C machine back to the shop so it wouldn't get wet...." Almost did a spit-take on that one ☺️
I cried laughing when he threw the wd40 can and said “not a sponsor” HAHAHAHAHA 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Now you’re fixing stuff on our level. LOL
Hell i don't even have a roof to work on all my repairs are either in the driveway side of the road or middle of the woods
not quite, there's no sheet of ice, nor wind and snow flying sideways with 14F temp and -5F windchill.....
it was about the fastest water pump and thermostat replacement I've ever done :))
WyoHorseman994
I’m with you. I’ve got $11K of tools and don’t even have a building anymore.
“I miss my tool cart, concrete, and a heater”
Where I live, if you don't have a garage, you do the repair in Autozone's parking lot.
Vanessa is absolutely right 99% of people don’t have a lift so it’s nice to see Mr. O work in a garage like the rest of us we all appreciate it!! Thank you guys and Mrs. O should be doing a little more of the work even tho she is a great camera woman!! And you two work very well together she is your voice of reason!!!!
Watching you 2 love birds having fun is priceless. You clearly see the love and respect you have for each other. It was worth every second of view time. :D
Old-school, but useful even now is a non-sparking metal tip, on a rubber hose, connected to a propane bottle. Highly useful for pin-pointing engine vacuum leaks. At some point in the diagnostic process, this device might save time. Love your vids, and thanks for teaching this retired tech lots of stuff! Might come in handy on my own fleet.
between "lemme get the wood saw" and "I'll drain this AC properly off camera", I'm pretty sure Eric started channeling Andrew Camarata. LOL
Hi! The big difference was that when Mr. A Camarata replaced his dash entertainment system, he used a CHAINsaw to fit it in.
expertly cataloged!
Don't you just love us Upstaters?
No duct tape or wire clothes hangers used in this repair??? Lol. Great vids eric keep um comming...
"This radiator just broke for no reason"
We watch it because the videos like this show us another side of the two of you outside the garage environment. It's nice to see the two of you willing to share your time with us in that way - thank you for letting us into your lives like you do!
We got it all drained out... "properly" lmao
😏😉
Sure... No one is buying that.
Everyone that works on cars must do a project out of their normal. This just shows all our skill still work without all the fancy shop and all the nice tools. Great JOB. "CATS" IS A GREAT SHOW.
You Two are Awesome! She is Still head over heels for ya Bud and its funny how you guys are together. Lol
Work out in the cold with no tools, that's pretty much the only way I work on vehicles lol 🤣
This kind of stuff runs in my vain and blood Eric keep it coming and thanks Ms O for sticking with Mr O....
LMAO! Eric’s “house toolbox” is just like the rest of us that make a living fixing things, “ah crap, have what I need at the shop, no worries I’ll improvise”. The wood/deer/car plastic saw on the dirt floor was awesome!
Well, I think that was another fantastic video by the “O” crew. The woods truck lives to run another day. Great job guys!
We watch, cause you’re an awesome mechanic, and we learn a lot, from your content. So, thank you!👍
I want to see more tractor fun! :D
Show us how quick you can bury the bodies of uninvited guests or things you've learned the hard way on the tractor. :)
Thanks for all the fun you two share with us interwebs folk!
5:37 the gambrel and body grips hangin on the wall. Nice!
The most important questions to ask when repairing a bush buggy: Did the damn thing work before? No. Does the damn thing work now? Yes. The End.
That was too funny! Wife is a trooper for sticking it out with you! Driving through the woods looks like fun! Good video!
Personally, I'd change the title of these videos to "It was already broke".
My 2nd mother since my mother and her were best friends was Polish always told jokes. And I enjoyed listening to you and Miss O.
12:28 When Eric realizes how the other 99% work on their vehicles... :-)
Really appreciated you wife's candid checking of your ...process. Just like home.
15:24 - 15:28. Mrs O :" Looks like you got a nice set there!" Eric O : " So do you ! "😜😁
I laugh at Eric and Mrs. O when they do the inside jokes. Nice set said it all
@@mikeske9777 They are one of a kind pair ain't they ? She's a real keeper! 😂 😁😜
My wife likes going to the junk yard too , she enjoys helping me ! Another great video Eric , keep it up !
I love your attitude when you're working on your own stuff. Very different than when you're at the shop!
This video was the most helpful yet ! After watching a bunch of your videos in the shop seeing this convinced my wife I need more tools at home ! She now understands why some jobs I just pay a guy like you to do it with the correct tools on hand and the space to work
Thanks to this video she is now looking for someone other than me to do the timing chain on her jag 😂👍
Keep the videos coming
I absolutely love the two of you together. Gives me hope for the world.
This is awesome!!!... You and Mrs. O together forever...i love the "Banter" Between you 2..."Never Stop... It's Awesome. I could watch you mess with her forever... You guys are an awesome pair..
We watch because we do the same stuff! Plus, you and Vanessa are pretty cool. Thanks Dr. O!
A sieve is a tub with a wire mesh (screen wire) bottom. It is used to separate granular materials by size (e.g. sand from gravel). The spacing between the wires are varied to pass smaller or larger grits. Mixed material is dumped into the top to fill it about 1/3 and the sieve is vigorously shaken for a while so that the fine grits can pass through. A stack of sieves with finest grit at the bottom can sort material into many grades.
"Boys and girls are different. Want me to tell you how?" INSTANT DEMONETIZATION!
You make me laugh! Thank you, enjoy your show
G'day Mr. O., and Mrs. O! Bravo! Love the marvelous sense of humor! I enjoyed these videos! (hope you know) We love you guys! By the way... "The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or even heard, but must be felt with the heart." Also, It hits you right in the feels! "You clearly see the love and wonderful respect you have for each other." You both, are the best! Thank you! Cheers! 🚙✌🏼🛠❤️
A little too through your woods was simply amazing give me some insight to your side of the world nice job Eric thank you Marie
Give you lots of credit Eric for heading all the way back to the shop to extract the refrigerant. Many guys would have just let it out into the atmosphere. Well done sir, well done!
Robert Witkowski thats what I would’ve done who cares lol
Mrs O is the best. Such a blessing.
Thank you for posting you two are a Hoot. 😎
He show's you how to do it like a professional and he show's you how to do it like a shade tree mechanic. He does it all. That's how good he is.
I think I have the same AC drain down machine as you! ;) I love this style of video, the banter between the two of you is extremely entertaining!
So far these have been my favorite vids. The junkyard success and barn blame in ep 2 made my day
Ah-! - the Stanley #4 grille saw-!! I need one of those. Im so glad to see you went all the way to the shop and back to get the AC machine & help save the ozone - most folks wouldnt do that but we know you did Eric and thats what counts right-? lol
Good to see that you are like most backyard mechanics when in your back yard. 😆😆👩🔧👩🔧👩💼
"We used the A/C machine to recover the refrigerant and then took it back to the shop." LOL yeah, sure ya did. ..All good Eric, I love your vids!
@@gac914 🙄 Lets keep politics out of the RUclipss, eh?
that isn't politics she is pure insanity
@corey Babcock Just about every time there's a car involved in an accident involving the front end there's refrigerant released into the atmosphere, maybe they'll outlaw AC in a few years in vehicles as a result. The new R1234YF refrigerant is a bit flammable, so if the accident, or airbags don't kill you the fire from the escaping refrigerant hitting something hot just may.
Had to take it back, so it doesn't get wet, duh!!!
18:00 I do watch your videos because I do trust you to post a variety of repair clips, presented in very professional way, with helpful, entertaining commentary throughout that makes it clear what you you are doing and what you intend to be the result. When things go wrong, you point out those things, too and show how to go about avoiding or fixing mistakes. All in all, wonderful hands-on experiences. As in the vacation videos and the farming (garden and deer plots) and pulling parts from the junkyard videos that are done away from the shop, changing the presentation style in big ways is not only logical but expected. Thanks and keep up the good work.
Eric, next time someone fusses about a pollock joke, ask them if they can speak Polish, when they say no, ask them how it feels to be dumber than a Pollock!
HahHH
The Symanoski family first generation Americans lived across the street from me as a kid and until they died at an old age but I remember he quiz me from time to time. He would always ask me what do you call the Polish Air Troopers He would say Air Pollution and then he would laugh about that every time so maybe to quote Sgt Hulka Lighten up Francis
But I prefer haddock....
You really shouldn't tell polish jokes. I had a polish friend die recently when he fell out of a tree. He was raking leaves. 😁
@@Lghtnup I'm half polish, but the jokes don't bother me. I've developed a thick skin over the years. I even used the joke above on my supervisor with several foreman present, It got a good laugh and seemed to get me a little more respect from my supervisor.
I am speechless. Thank you Mr. and Mrs. O
After watching this all I can say is Scotty would proud of you.
i agree with those who said Mrs O needs to be in SMA videos as either the Camera Operator And or Commentator ..... keep these kids of videos coming Mr Eric O good to see the home Mechanic side of you cheers ...
Thank's Mrs.O for keeping Eric's alternate Mechanical self on track deep down he wants to see Cats cause he did say litter box!!!; )
Hi, Eric. I get it now. You're not repairing your Jeep on the cheep, your customizing your Jeep on the cheep. And your wife is still #1. Give thanks for that. Thanks for sharing! Stay Healthy!
Eric, you are a lucky man. My wife would never stand in the rain and mud with me for any reason and under any circumstance. Does Mrs. O have any unwed sisters?
The first video I ever saw from your channel was a car had been dropped off in the rain with a bad computer. You worked your magic to get it back into your shop. You discovered that the owner had forced an incorrect computer into the connectors and made it worse. I think once you replaced the original computer you determined that the cat was blocked. That was my start on a great voyage of discovery about auto mechanics. I can not tell you how much I love your channel.
Favorite video on the page, cause I've been there done that in the barn on a Sunday night with no tool because I still had to drive my POS to work Monday morning
I can't stop watching these videos...I probably watched every one...I've been up late at night waking up 3hours b4 work because I lost track of time....thanks Eric and family lol...
Eric and the wife on a date. Priceless.
Mrs. O has a wicked sense of humor; from you saying stick it in, slide it around, you got to get back in there, and I'm so excited, etc. And she giggles. Omg...lol...
Best outro I've seen! Y'all are a great team, truly blessed! Thanks for the being the best channel on YT. Entertaining, informative and a glimpse into y'alls personal space. Fantastic!
Great video of salvage yard and all. Mrs O makes it entertaining and real. All the funny stuff makes it better
Good job Eric and thank Mrs. O for helping you out.
Keep your original fan, the trans-cooler looked in bad shape but couldn't see anything bad looking on the radiator? This brings back memories & must say that Junk Yard you & the Mrs went to is far better organized than those I've been in, wow. Finally, you sir are a very blessed father & husband thanks to your very beautiful, loving/caring & intelligent wife who takes care of you, your kids, animals, the office, home, the camera while interacting with you along with the viewers. You have a great family too, love sharing my time with you guys. I mentioned to my wife I'd be willing to load my vehicles, trailer them to your shop. It's nearly impossible to find honest-working & knowledgeable mechanics like South Main Auto Repair LLC in NY. Thank you for what you & your family do with your time.
I love seeing your property! Very beautiful. I could watch these videos all day long, also, nice to see a Jeep off road having fun.
Better than the shop videos because I highly relate to the lack of space… And the unorthodox approach….
I was going to watch this video, but I changed my mind and I'm going to go watch the Cat movie instead. Maybe hit the nail salon on the way back.
More videos like this series, what could be better than Junkyards, Mrs O, backyard Mechanics and tips & tricks
Yes eric O we all work like that at home....we spend more time searching for tools than using them!!!....cussing the whole time!!!!🤬
Love Mrs O. ♥️♥️ She asks all the right questions. More Mrs O!!
First rule of home automotive repair, time is measured in beers not book time. An oil change is a one beer job for example. 😁
Engine replacement is a case of beer.
Jeff Winter man, you aren’t even trying!
Could be a two or three beer job if your particular and take your time. lol
@@m.b8257 👍
You made me laugh so hard when you went to the junkyard to pull the radiator ,I’ve been the love it
Raw n honest loved it... 13:12 miss O "you don't need those nuts" he laughs cause that's what she said lol
you guys make a great couple. keep loving each other...
Eric was like a kid at Christmas. Salvage yard makes me feel like I'm on a treasure hunt all kinds of goodies I need. I bet Mrs O was grinning watching Mr O wide eyed with excitement. Best wishes to you and yours from Maryland.
This type of vid really needs to be a monthly special 😂😂
I watch because I learn something with every video.
Love these out of the shop videos Mr. O!!! Would like to see more of those.
Thank you for letting us see you are human at your shop you perform at a Superman level on the rusty stuff we deal with in the north thanks for sharing I learn many things from you vids
What a good team you two make!!
Seeing you work on this jeep has changed my mind on getting one to play with.
SMA "unplugged"
These 2 vids have to be the best yet, shows a side of both of you that nobody has seen before. OUTSTANDING, love the banter. Live long and prosper, 🖖
