I’m happy to see you take this direction, I’ve always loved a wardrobe that has black and white or cream with camel. So, so classic, it’s never gone out of style.
Yeah! Back in style. I've loved beige and taupe colors and never embraced the gray. It just feels a little warmer to me and so easy to decorate around.
@@user-xg6zz8qs3q yes, they truly do. I added some beige to my husband's man cave and it made it a little more inviting. His room is grey and blue ( Behr paint greige/dark stormy cloud)
Beige is the new fad, eh? I can't wait to hear how people talk about it in a few years from now, lol. This is why I just do what I want with my decor. Fads come and go way too quickly.
Yes! Beige relieves the tension of a stark black, white & gray pallette. After these heavy, exhausting two pandemic years, we need warmth & a sense of being nurtured, comforted in our surroundings. Great explanation & examples.
Valentina, you & Jack are helping me transform my life! This past decade, I was the primary caretaker of both my parents, in their 90s. Both passed away this past year, mom on Valentine's day, dad on Christmas day. So worn out, worn down & frazzled was I. Now it's time to take care of me and do a huge energy shift. Besides working on my house, it's time to work on my home. Old carpet, ripped out. Walls painted over. Sold sofas, desks, got new and different. Went with a marble)stone looking floor, and very light grayish walls with black accents. I started seeing your videos how those colors were going out! We were painting over a buttery yellowish Tuscany look, a color which I noticed was coming back! part of the 2022 color palette! The only thing is it's been up there for more than 20 years! My office and bathroom were in the green pallets! Did not paint those rooms, but everything else. It's all coming together though. Rather than changing paint colors I went with what my heart wanted, and I'm adding accents of black, grey AND now beige! It looks great & is bringing in the warmth and updating it fabulously. In my office & hallway bathroom I didn't change the colors, we just touched it up so it looks like it's newly painted and changing the accents, wall hangings and shelves. Everything looks entirely different, it's made a huge energy shift which is why I needed to move my life forward. I wish I could post some pictures here before and after. Difference between night and day. BTW, painted the ceiling, trim, baseboards & grates the same as the walls and it looks fabulous. Everyone thought I was nuts. Some of the wall plates were already beautiful black hardware so the contractors talked me into leaving those and I'm glad they did because they're nice accents. But the ones I wanted to hide we did paint over. Everybody loves it. Kept it simple and all looks good. All due to your suggestions. Thank you!
I love it when you talk beige to us! It’s actually my favorite neutral color. BTW, I’d love to hear you talk about traditional style. I love the richness of dark woods and traditional cozy style homes. Surely I can’t be the only one. Thanks.
Beige and white create a sophisticated look. It could go in different styles, and will always look classy. Especially if you bring a touch of black. Love this video! Love that Gallerie D Art. Just so beautiful. Great ideas Valentina
Beige and black is such a chic combination. Like a Chanel pump. It's always classy, forever cool, and in your home, it's beautifully comforting. Love it.
After years of warm gray, I became obsessed with Benjamin Moore Ballet White - and it made my main living and bedroom areas so warm yet airy and bright. Love it!!!
Can't tell you how much I relate to this - introducing beige tones to my white apartment is something I never thought I'd do! But I'm kind of loving it? Thank you for your help! 😊
Always decorate with the colors of nature & you home will never be out of style. We homeowners here in Scottsdale, AZ are living in beige - have been & will be....HOAs will never throw out Beige. Well, maybe for TAN, lol! 🌵😎
I really like it when you do videos like this that explain how to do something with a bit less focus on buying specific items. Very helpful! Happy Friday :)
I really like the beige sphere and picture combo you use in the kitchen. My heart just sang when I saw the combination and the cane back chairs and white table at the end of your video.
Beige adds warmth to any space and it doesn't mean having to paint all your walls. I like that you showed the many different ways it can be incorporated into a space.
I’m renovating my bathroom and have changed my white tiles to travertine !! Love your new bedding. The taupe goes beautifully with your olive green walls. The French and Italians have been mixing white taupe beige in their interiors forever!! Love your Fridays with V videos. The beige you’ve incorporated into your home has added another layer that works beautifully with your black and white interiors. x
Valentina, maybe we're taking a cue from nature. I just realized that you're sitting there at the beginning of the video surrounded by white to black and your hair, skin and watch become the stars against that backgound. They add the punch, the warmth, the glow. What a great visual for what you're sharing with us. The next thing we know, you'll be venturing into blue sky, green grass and apricot sunsets. :) Lookout, Mother Nature. V is on the move!!! Great video... Thank you!
I am grateful you are on the beige roll…what a difference! The black and white thing Is screaming for natural linen colors and warm tones thrown in…YES! It gives that curated cultivated look..artistic and complimentary vibe. Thumbs up!! I use a variety of beiges, natural linen with creamy whites….natural soft colors With depth are timeless…I could never endure the strictly reflective white for long term living, without the natural medium beiges tossed in, to balance it out.
I've always gone with the warm neutrals because we live in the Pacific NW and it is grey outside a lot of the time and I didn't want the grey inside as well. Greys seem industrial to me, while beige seems elegant and warm....
Same! I’ve lived all over Wa and Or and have always been drawn to a warm and creamy muted palette. I love mixing neutrals with various undertones and textures as well as adding pops of green.
Girl I am a traditional maxy max max to the hilt but,I love your channel. The color palettes are gorgeous and you and your family are entertaining and lovely. Even I have learned so much from you. Love the beige and your color palette for 2022!
After living in a minimalist black and white Scandi style apt, I started craving beige and wood, about a year ago. My modernist friend thought I was crazy! I now have lots of beige and wood mixed in, and I love it! Just bought a creamy white linen duvet cover and shams, and it's so cozy! I'm even starting to explore the Japandi style (Scandinavian and Zen style). I absolutely love your excitement about design, as I feel the same way. Your home is gorgeous and I just love your videos!
Valentina- I am painting my living room white ( is it stark white? ) and my fireplace black ( black black?? ) I LOVE BEIGE ACCENTS!!!!! And I have whitish travertine tables!!! I’m going to change my throw on my whitish beige sofas to maybe a light camel??? Love your style - HELP!!! ❤️
I have never left a comment before. I'm not a designer, I'm a nurse who just enjoys your videos. But I wanted to let you know that I have a smaller home in northeast PA and I just had my interior painted. I wanted beige and I agonized over the choices. I settled on Benjamin Moore White Sand and I love it. I have the majority of the interior that color with a cream trim, LOVE it! I think your personality is changing and you are going to go over the dark walls with some beige for 2022...
Yes, I feel like we are having a conversation too, & friends for that matter. Thanks for trying things out and sharing with us. Have a great weekend as well.
Love how you’re branching out!! Beiges, tans, creams, and taupes all look great with blacks, whites and grays. And any other color you would care to mix in, such as blues or corals, etc all would look amazing! Any color (non-neutral) would add a punch of drama. Color can look modern too. Love to see and hear your thought processes as you design and redesign your home ❤️
FINALLY,! The color palette that I've always loved comes back in style. I'm more of a beige/greige main color with creams and blacks but I can definitely feel this combo
I’ve always decorated with beige! I love the warmth of it. It shows well in photos and rooms appear larger and airier. If you want to bring a color in, add color with the accessories.
I’m so happy beige is becoming popular. We had our brick home painted taupe last year and added black shutters, along with the existing black outdoor light fixtures and accessories. Now I feel up to date! I recently had one bedroom painted a light taupe, master bedroom painted a beautiful cool beige, and laundry room painted beige! Love your inspiration and insight into the design world. Thank you!

We renovated a house about 4 years ago and did it in all grey tones. We lived there about 7 months. It sold really fast because everyone is so obsessed with grey. While I could appreciate its beauty, i never felt great in the space and even found it difficult to decorate. I now have a warm wood floor older home with a creamy white on the walls. It’s filled with warm wood tones and all types of beige with pops of black and white. I love it. I remember a designer once saying you can mix greys, browns creams and whites if you think about the stone in a river bed. Look to nature for our palette. Loved this video.
V, I think your kitchen would look terrific in one of the beige colors on the walls. It would warm it up so much. The white is a bit cold and stark. Also changing some of the artwork would be nice as well.
I have Behr “Dove” in my bedrooms and kitchen….love it. I do feel it leans cooler. Behr “High Style Beige” is almost identical in the level of light/dark but has more of a brown undertone. I did this in my living and dining room….gorgeous! It’s a great introduction to a beige wall.
Im glad its allowed to talk about colours in detail like this. I think like this but i never expressed it because people think i talk too long about details. Also when you say ‘im obsessed’ or ‘im flipping out over this’. This video givs me courage to be more of me. I can be in a room, lets say a coffeeplace or an office of some organisation and i could just be staring at a wall and think about that colour for 10 minutes: how it playes up the other colours or textures and what the undertone is or satturation etc. And these are thoughts i can never share with anyone. Im also obsessed recently with muddy colours like beige but only when it really looks like mud and sand and clay, also the texture very matt and grey undertone. I can almost smell a colour sometimes but that would be crazy. Like the txture of that stone: i take them home fom trips and just put your hands on it to feel the cold and stonyness: i remember doing those things as a kid like: omg this water is soo wet, that flower is so extremely purple in the morninglight. I was told to never talk like that again because that sounded really crazy and embaressing so I really learned to shut up and never to open up that box ever again. I forgot about it untill my burnout: then my crazy sense of colours and textures came back to me and would not stay under the lit.
I never got on the gray band wagon, because much of what I already owned was beige. I have been doing quite a bit of black and white already, inspired by the farmhouse style, but also from your more modern and simplistic look. So, I’m really glad to hear that you are embracing the beige!
So happy to hear beige is back….I am redoing our kitchen and have chosen taupe cabinets with creamy white beige marbled Cambria counters and very subtle variated beige floor grouted in Smokey beige….All varying but complimentary beige tones and away from yellow undertones….easy to add small accent colours as the season or my mood changes and go with black/stainless appliances….I was a bit worried I was putting in a new kitchen with ‘old’ colours but they give me a sense of tranquility. Thanks for the encouragement to stick with what I like and not put in the standard white kitchen.
I'm so happy to hear u say this. I could not stand Grey any longer. I bought a condo and just decided to go beige because I love more browns and wanted to use it in my new home.
Three years ago I did accessible beige throughout my whole downstairs throughout my hallways and I’m still in love with it. As you said, beige goes with everything. 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you for explaining the yellow in pictures. Made it so easy to explain to hubby what I mean I do not want yellow wood in my home anymore, but I do want wood :D
My Mom in the early 60ies painted black & white walls in the living room , she used a black leather couch and white leather chairs with a light tan curved coffee table. It was beautiful.
I remember you had a video with flat front kitchen cabinets and I was so happy that’s what I chose in my tiny kitchen. Now the whites, creams, & beige tones are here and my whole tiny home is in that color scheme. I love mixing whites, creams & beige. All of my earth vibe accessories work so well in this color scheme and I’m all into it. 🤍
I’m happy to see you take this direction, I’ve always loved a wardrobe that has black and white or cream with camel. So, so classic, it’s never gone out of style.
Yes!!! Camel and black! Camel and grey! With creams and whites! Phenomenal!!
Agreed, it’s also the colour scheme for my new interiors incorporating black cream white, rust and gold
Yeah! Back in style. I've loved beige and taupe colors and never embraced the gray. It just feels a little warmer to me and so easy to decorate around.
Taupe!!!
I do not care for gray that much either!
But beige and grey play so well with eachother.

Love love ❤️ love the beige. So so so classic. The classics are timeless and the best.

I think beige with black is such a classic combination, half my in-office work wardrobe is that color mix, but absolutely you need the *right* beige
Love this updated tone of beige 😍
So glad beige is back. My new build will be rich browns, creams & taupe beiges. I’ve always preferred warmth over cold environments.

Love, love, love your Channel! Your suggestions and designs are perfect! I’m learning so, so much!!! Thank you and Jack!!!🖤💕🤎💯
Love Luv LOVE BEIGE!!!!
I love the beige, I think greens are going to have a comeback too. It’s very comforting to me! and easier to match with other colors 😉💛
Green is already the color of the year for many paint companies.
