Oh and vans 97 caballero with the dragon on the side need to return. That in OG colorway is a baggy khaki sneaker.
I was about to buy the black/ chili pepper color way, waited and seen these about a week later. I remember seeing these in the skate shop the first time I went, I had to have these. I ended up getting the black/white/gum pair when I was a kid. That’s the pair I’m really hoping returns.
These and the rowley 1 (?) were always some of the dopest vans. I had some bastien salabanzi one start were fire too and some others I feel like they were either a Jim Greco or rowley I can’t remember. Not the biggest vans fan but they were fire back then
Oh I had the xl2 too, rowley was one of my favorite skaters so I always wanted his shoes
I was geared up to by the creagers in every colour but the tongue just looked way too fat. I’m hoping the new releases are tweaked to be closer to the og
I dont like old shoes due to the puff either. I liked the design. I am a core skateboarding fan from early mid 90s. But I cannot lie/deny I was a fashionable lad. I was wearing kappa button ups on top of fishnet longsleeves with Airwalk jim shoe on feet. 😂
I always had to be different. I purchased the first rowley and XLT because obviously Geoffs dedication to skating 😂 but the kicks looked great with stuff of the time. I was a preppier dresser when they kicks came out and I would wear em clean with my abercrombie grear. Billabong longsleeves. 😂
I preferred the first Rowley.
Vans needs to bring back the Rowley Slims !
When i 1st started skating these shoes at a young age, they were the BEST SKATING shoes EVER i landed my kickflips and heelflips BUTTERY i absolutely LOVE these shoes but they never lasted long, i would skate these till there was massive hole and they absolutely had no life in them, is the material really worth spending a hundred dollars for it though? Will they last longer cause lately i’ve been only skating my new balances and they do not dissapoint with grip and how long they last. Is the bottom grip for XLT better and will it last longer for LOTS of flip tricks?

Are you getting the black and white ones with the grey bottoms that recently came out? I was really hoping that color way was gonna come with the gum bottoms
Exactly, the gray botton doesn't do it for me too.
The 66/99 thing is silly. Im like Bruh Rowley is legit. But at the time Im like Steve Cabs start date or John Cardiels woulda made more sense, but at the time skating was what it was.

I bought many pairs of the black/white, red and white, blue/black when these first ever came out and they were cheap as fuck, 40 bucks ish i think it was at modells at the time lol
I asked vans if they will release the navy and basically told me they don’t know and they don’t know how long they will even run the shoe itself
