What's crazy to me is, the ONLY thing I don't like about WW2 games is the time period and setting make it boring to me. If you did a 1:1 thing but you made it a scifi or a fantasy, or hell both.. I would be in. And I'm really amazed nobody has done that, in fact I bet someone's going to reply and tell me they did. Like, we get "what if Romeo and Juliet but in modern day? what if Sherlock Holmes in the future with robot Watson? what if Hamlet but lions?" so like, give me WW2 with lasers. Give me a purple alien warlord who is putting the orange aliens in camps and we gotta stop him. I dunno, this is the same thing that keeps me out of gangster movies, westerns, and a bunch of other stuff that apparently must be great because everyone loves them.
I'm dating myself here, but Battlefield 2142 is kind of what you're looking for. This was back before Battlefield went full Call of Duty and became a twitchy shooter, and it's set in the near future. Not necessarily like, laser weapons, but there's a lot of futuristic elements to it and it still had a very low time to kill so it felt great to play. If you've never played it I would check it out. It's not quite the far future shooter you're talking about but it's the closest I can think of on that scale.
I am subbed since the majoras mask video and one day this channel will blow up 🙌
Have you really just painted THE crosses at 8:30? :D
No I don’t. I like ENJOYING games.
