it's so nice to hear her voice when it's all stripped down to just her and an acoustic guitar. when she sings those low notes, doesn't it just send shivers down your spine? hard to describe it exactly, but certainly a beautiful one-of-a-kind voice. yes, she doesn't link her notes together like conventional singers do. but that's how she sings, that's her style. YG doesn't "train out" any uniqueness in their artists' voices, so they keep whatever technique/style (even if you argue it's poor technique) because sounding unique is just as important (or more so) as singing well. why do you think YG loves Lee Hi's voice? it's very similar to Park Bom's-- very soulful, sounds beautiful on the low end, and unique. anyways, this is my favorite version of the song-- after hearing this, i don't like the original version as much. this song was meant to be done stripped down and acoustic. (btw, i love her laugh, she's had the same laugh since debut until now, and it makes you just laugh).
She put her heart and soul into this song, and I don't think theres anyone that comes close to emoting so much feeling just through her voice. Her voice and her being gone for so long makes this video all the more emotional.
