Let me just say I have been following you for a long time and I love your content I cut off my micro locs about three or four years ago after having them for 5 years and watching your last few videos especially the one were you explained the madness behind the changing your hair a lot you gave me the exact words to say to my husband as I was trying to explain y I was going to be restarting my micro locs thanks for letting us into brittanys room and your is always phenomenal

Head and shoulders 2 and 1 shampoo and conditioner once a week follow up with a water based leave in conditioner spray and seal with my oil mix worked for me. I suffer from bad dandruff like the thick dandruff. Only thing that works for me. But have to be consistent.

I *love* your results! I'm 3 mnts into my journey also (I started 2/18). I only tried retwisting twice but I just can't master the clip placement😩! I just combed my locs out in August after 16 months and reinstalled them smaller Labor Day weekend

😍😍 You are beautiful and I love your hair. I am 4 months in and I have been interlocking this whole time. I have decided to retwist next time to see how I like it. Not only do I think it would be faster, but I'm not liking the look of my roots after interlocking...Specifically the split. I also thinks it feels little bulbs on my roots when I run my fingers through my hair after interlocking. What shampoo did you use? I have a scalp condition as well but don't necessarily want to pay for a full on wash service and retwist/retie I love doing my own hair

Your hair looks great. I have braids Locs and I’m 4 years in and I have been interlocking my own hair and want to start this method of retwisting. I see that you didn’t use any locking gel or anything except oil and water tell me how long does your retwist last
It depends on what my week consists of. My retwist usually get fuzzy after a week but it’s still in tact. If I do anything that makes me sweat it’ll come undone but for the most part it can last 3-4 weeks.

Do u wash your hair with a stocking on your head? Your partings are still neat. Mine meshed-in together, abit. I only out elastic band at bottom in four parts
I don’t wash with anything on my hair. Completely free. I just make sure to separate my locs afterward

Thank you 🤗 this took about an hour. I do a retwist 1-2 times a month but the general recommendation is every 6 weeks

I didn’t know you could retwist micro locs i thought interlocking was the only option… i have about 300 so ill be giving this a try 🤦🏾♀️ How long do you keep the clips in?
I don't really time it. I just wait until I feel my hair is dry
Hey! i’m not a professional but oil and water don’t mix so if you put oil down in your hair first it will stop the moisture from getting to your actual hair. At least that’s how I understand it so maybe try moisturizing your hair before you use oil? might help with ur scalp idk.
I do. The oil is to seal in the moisture. I found out I have psoriasis so that’s where the “dryness” is from.

Its an oil mixture of apricot oil, grapeseed oil, olive oil, and shea nut oil. And thank you sugarfoot.
I recall on your starter video that you did the two strand twist then interlocked the roots. Can you help me understand why you elected retwisting over interlocking at follow up?

Did you color your hair with henna? If so did you do it before or after you locs?
I colored it using L’Oréal hi color in copper and it was after I installed my locs

Is it ok to start microlocs with very loose twists.. i have 4 course hair and i want them loose to get maximum volume.. am getting them installed this weekend and want to know if its a good idea or i should just twist my hair tightly
I’ve never heard of loose twists before so idk. Are you not twisting to the end? What makes it loose?

@@yollandamafunga5994 I don’t know that there’d be a difference in how the locs form but depending on your hair type, you should be fine. Especially if the ends are coiled

I interlocked just to start them then followed that with retwisting

Those are called sister locs
In order for locs to be considered sisterlocs they have to be installed by a sisterloc specialist. There's a whole trademark thing and everything.
