lol you were right across from us.. my wife was the one who caught the 3 pounder and was yelling my fish is bigger than all of yours. .You can watch it on Wattenbarger outdoors. ..pretty cool video maybe run into you on the next open day
Opening day in Missouri is a traditional thing. This was the first time I fished it. The time of year also where the crappie are skinny and moved out (don't have a boat to chase them) and all the other fishing is almost dead this time of year. I don't like crowds so usually when I fish at Bennett it's catch and release season and you may have 5 more guys on the whole stream.
I make rods. Haven't gotten around to making me a "trout" rod yet. I've made 6 for others but that is my old Berkley Cherrywood. That's been my trout set up for almost 10years now with the Mitchell reel. The orange crappie rod is one I made tho. Along with Terry's from a video ago.
@@fishinghuntingotherstuffra5986 Terry has a 6' one he shoots with. I'm horrible at shooting docks because I never really have a chance to do it. But the rods do work good for it. I just can't aim lol
@@fishinghuntingotherstuffra5986 I usually do parts +$30. Usually $60- $80 On my crappie rods. But you pick color of the blank, guide wrap color, handle and style. 5'6 and up
I live a half hour drive from Roaring River, but I would not fight that silly idiot mob on opening day for any amount of money. I will go during the school week when few kids and fewer adults are there, or fish in winter.
Winter is the main time I'm at the parks. Nice to go in March when the crappie get skinny and scarce. It wasn't as bad as I thought it going to be people wise.
That’s a lot of people!
Congrats on the nice fish y'all!!
Keep working hard at the business and eventually you'll be where you want to be!!
*Have a good'nnn*
Thanks and I hope so. Trying to get in a few small shops at the lakes

Awesome catch. I have 4 different sizes of those Berkeley Cherrywood rods I love them. That 5’ ultra light is the best trout rod ever
those things snap way too easy if current, but they look good
Just subbed to yoyr channel msn that place looked packed . great fish .

You didn't go fishing.. you went catching. Damn
Unless that joker is using 2lb test line that reel should not be singing that tune.
