It can be seen that you are a master of your trade in everything you do, Chris! The beginning of today's video was so calm and relaxed for me because you unloaded things from the truck and swapped the shovels of the excavator so precisely and completely relaxed, as if you were dealing with fragile things. Most of the time I almost fall asleep while watching. 😴
That's why I like to watch your videos and at your work. ☺️

Now it's maybe time for you Chris to look at Dynaset HVB all implement vibrator. You place it on stick and give you vibration for your compactor but also grading bucket to compact soil/gravel or loose sticky clay from inside it and a lot more usage. Very nifty thing to make your excavator more versatile. I really love it!

Yeah that drum seems to pack it in and rip it back out in the same pass. Technically a multi-purpose tool I guess? Something vibrating with a quick connect that has a valve block in it would help a lot. And be easier to manage because you don't have to line up the trench with the boom in order to move it over the work area.

A tilt rotator is the way to go. I am starting to wonder about tracks or wheels too. I notice that so many places r now going to a wheel hoe and even pull the trailer. It would cut down on your bob cat thing

I Redid my crumpled blacktop driveway..didnt want the last 5 feet of it. I ordered the contractor to remove the blacktop and stone, i said i wanted grass to grow there. It was a deep hole and he filled it partially with screenings, leaving me to fill in the last 4 or 5 inches with soil.
I forget exactly why we did that, but i leveled out that hole and the surrounding yard with 23 tons of topsoil. The grass grew in, a beautiful batch of tall fescue. Turns out next summer, the drought came and all the grass survived except for the grass on top of the screenings. It turned brown, and left a mark where my old driveway was. I have to assume the grass will not grow well around your new drain box for the same reason..
