Second or third video I’ve seen of these being installed. Are you sure they go over the original covers? I don’t know but I could be wrong in thinking they replace the factory covers.

Yes, these are covers and not replacements. They come with 3M tape for installing them.

this is a wrong installation, stage 2 (these) are supposed to replace the factory covers (remove factory covers).... stage 1 cover the whole mirror frame ( no need to remove covers)

These are the covers made by evo-r. If they were replacements, they would come with tabs that you could use to lock the cover in place. Here is where I purchased them from, you can see that they come with 3M tape for installing them. www.evo-r.net/product/370Z/Mirrors/index.html

@@jbeave007 If im not mistaken they are made by the same manufacturer, and sold by different companies in this case evo-r. There is no need for tabs. 3M is enough if you prep the area correctly. It would give be a flush installation, keeping the original covers makes the carbon fiber float over and therefore they are more exposed to the elements. At the end we all do it differently, its all about sharing ideas and suggestions. Happy holidays :)

Ezeus R therefore I can install these carbon fiber cover without the factory cover? Will the tape be enough to hold it in place?
