Also a bit bigger than brezza, urban, maginte, sonet, kiger, venue etc. The Jolion very nice but Tiggo 4 pro is more agile and nippier 0-100 under 10 seconds. Everyone jumps on saying newer Chinese cars are great but only time tells the real story. As is the case with any Chinese cars they aren’t built to last.
That's very true. Ciao is a hundred percent correct. I live in the Western Cape, and recently drove a car back from Joburg to Cape Town via the North West province. Sannieshof to Upington route. Gosh, there were unmarked potholes on the open road as big as the car itself, and a couple of feet deep. Besides finging your car up, this is extremely dangerous, especially if you're from the Cape, and didn't expect the sudden massive holes. Absolutely hair raising!

Chery has beat ford in south africa with this car. This car is basically the new Ford Territory look alike. I've been on Ford South Africa's neck about bringing the new Territory to South Africa with no luck
Seems like we have idiots running Ford South Africa. They discontinued all their models with the exception of the Ranger and Everest. Their market share has shrunk and dealers are suffering because they have no new models to sell.
All these SUV'S are nothing else but slightly raised hatchbacks and station wagons, with bigger wheels. Wait until you have to swerve suddenly, and you'd wish you were in a plain old close to the ground sedan!
I have a question here. Many people coming that the non popular brands have a problem when it comes to maintaining the car. Either parts are hard to find or there's usually something terrible with the car that makes them regret buying it....is this false or not? I want to know about the challenges one might face if one goes for cars like the one reviewed
That's always my concern because a friend once had such an experience back in the day when French (Renault) cars were not so popular in SA. I once appreciated a Cherry but dropped the idea of buying because it was a bit scarce on SA roads.

They're also beating them in long term quality surveys in China. Chery and Haval/GWM make the best engines with the best efficiency in the world, that's why Chery can offer this million kilometer warranty. The Chinese are really showing how much other brands are overcharging people, delivering worse stuff for more money. No wonder why Chinese brands are gaining popularity.

Interior design very nice . Toyota can learn a thing or two
Toyota is overrated and overpriced.
Toyota wont unless you willing to pay extra for it. These options are actually there in order to sell the brand.
Love the Infinity badge and grill.
I had an infiniti Q50 for a few years, friends commented: WOW, Chinese are getting really good with their cars!
No one knew Infiniti was from japan...nissan.... i loved that car. Sold it for a P series
I saw this cherry at the cherry farm on Thursday, lol is was eye catching
BRILLIANT REVIEW 😃💪👌
So well done !
Your consumer advice is SPOT ON & always on point !
Extremely keen to buy a few for management vehicles - its so good actually 😃👏👌
Thanx for your brilliant delivery, once again !
Best
This is a very cool car, price wise and what it offers, but one downfall for me is the keyless entry and exit not that safe to some extent.
You can turn it off if you don’t want it 🙂
@@BubblesTheCat1 😂😂😂😂
I'm driving a tiggo 4pro and there's a setting to switch off key intelligence

come on do a review for the Kia Sonet
Never cross my mind to go down to CT but this proper road story mmm I wanna go find out myself ha ha ha 😂 😅 .
Chery's of old had such a bad rep. Good to see they have stepped up their game.
I prefer the tigo 7 pro thats the one they need to bring in south africa
It's here now!
Thank you for such thorough review. However, I wonder how long it will take for these gismoas and gadgets to fall apart as every other Chinese products that looked Eye-catching in the first moment and after couple weekes they started falling off.
the spare tyre is that a real one or just good for 20 km's and flat again? I'm on the brink of purchasing one, so thanks for your review, I wonder if I get the same warranties in Australia
I wonder if anyone has used the car for more than a year. So that they can comment on the reliability.
Bought mine. Within 3 months the hooter stopped working. By 18 000 km the braking system started to malfunction and later the shock broke. The car has been into service for the past two weeks now as I type this. I wouldn't advice anyone to buy it.
Everyone jumps on saying newer Chinese cars are great but only time tells the real story.
As is the case with any Chinese cars they aren’t built to last.
how is it one year later
"now I am in the Western Cape, and we proper roads down here". haha.
Ask of them built by SANRAL.
Yip if you live any other place in SA not buying suv cross or 4x4 not a good idea. Need ground clearance.
@@KnightArno Exactly. A sedan can only be used in the Western Cape.
That's why we've got so many dropped cars here.
@@BubblesTheCat1 if you live in Joburg or Durban you can easily drive a sedan too. I drive a picanto in Durban and for most conditions in and around town it’s fine
You saved the best feature for last,
Another Great Review - Detaild , very informative as allways :-)
I don't know how many times I watched this 🥺🔥.... God please answer 🙏🏾❤️🥺
Anyone who wants an old chery? 🤣not me. I only want a new chery
I saw a Corolla Cross in the review mirror. Easter Egg for a full review coming soon?
2 highly sought after competitors in this segment (to my mind), that I feel you missed out on: Ford Eco-Sport, Mazda CX 3...
And Kia Sonet
Eco-Sport is on is way out of the SA market, except for the base, bare-bones model.
what about the part availability should anything happen, would it be one of those scenario's of waiting month before the part arrive?
Nice road condition jab there Ciro, LMK!
Spot on. Pity it will not be seen by the powers that be in the North West. They're too busy with other "stuff".
Maybe if there was a different political party in charge there?
Fantsy Pantsy, But how Long will it last in Harsh S.A Conditions, How Good will Aftersales Service be, Technical Backup, Parts Logistics...Won't buy it, But a Useful Alternative. Good Review, as Always.
I have seen several owners complain about annoying cabin noise, at highways speeds especially when it's windy. This less than 6 months of owning the car. Anyone else heard the same?
I like the confidence there have to their cars
Can we please have a Trigo 8 review, my wife and i are fighting about that car and i trust your reviews with my life 😅
Haha! Coming as soon as we can get a test car
That voice control 💀🔥
it's the laugh for me while doing the voice commands at the end of the clip 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Which is the best suv in this price bracket in terms of fuel efficiency?
I think the Kia sonet
Nice one mate!!
Forgot to mention there are two power trains Turbo charged 108 kw and non turbo 83kw the entry level chery's are non turbo's
In this segment. What do you think is the best quality for money. If you could buy one right now.
A Small "SUV", that only seats 4, with a small engine that's front wheeldrive ...
So a hatchback?
All these SUV'S are nothing else but slightly raised hatchbacks and station wagons, with bigger wheels.
Wait until you have to swerve suddenly, and you'd wish you were in a plain old close to the ground sedan!
Top content Ciro.Obrigado meu
Vehicle looks well put together
Nice review thanks for no swearing. RSA
Better to wait a few years and see what the quality and customer support (service & repairs) is like.
By then (5 years later) our inflation would have pushed the price up by 100% already.
Someone please tell whoever won the powerball im 100k short from getting the 1.5MT Elite model...
Can anyone help with advice on the fuel consumption of the Tiggo4 vs Tiggo7 ?
I have a question here. Many people coming that the non popular brands have a problem when it comes to maintaining the car. Either parts are hard to find or there's usually something terrible with the car that makes them regret buying it....is this false or not? I want to know about the challenges one might face if one goes for cars like the one reviewed
That's always my concern because a friend once had such an experience back in the day when French (Renault) cars were not so popular in SA. I once appreciated a Cherry but dropped the idea of buying because it was a bit scarce on SA roads.
Let the people on here who rave so much about this car, find out the hard way.
9 months ago, this cost 359k rands as per this review. Today it is listed for 399k rands.
Thought I was the only one who noticed the price jump 😩 I’m still trying to figure out why
@@entledotye2156 - The 399k model is new spec. It has the same driver assists as the Tiggo 7. You can still get the previous spec as well. Also has the 360 camera.
Ciro, what car/s do you own?
Any update on long term review as well as fuel economy? ⛽ fuel is costly these days
Any turbo petrol engine thats auto or CVT is heavy, its unlikely this will drop. Many haval owners are crying cos its 1.5T CVT as well.
Love the conclusion; the squeaky part🤣
As a fyi, had my new tiggo pro 4 elite 2 weeks and the engine malfunction light has come on twice. Been back to the dealer in Alberton and 3 days after their fix , warning light is back. More than likley this issue is going to end up at the oubutsman.
Was at Raceview just now test driving it, thanks for posting this!!
Did you come right with the car?
When is the tiggo 7 pro coming to south africa?
A mojor problem with the Tiggo 4 is that you cannot change the headlamp if it has blown, it can only be sone at a dealer, at great cost.
I think if Cherry change their name to something that sounds more butch then I think more consumers will give it serious thought and consideration...
"there aren't all wheel drive cherries available". 🤣
What kinda cherries are you looking for?
Oh how I laughed.
Awesome review!! 🍻
