    It's funny cos in London it's quite common for a bus route to terminate at a bus garage (depot), there will just be a bus stop in front of the garage. Looks like transperth just forgot the stop lol

    19:35 That bus bay probably isn't used pursuant to Transperth's design standard specifying a certain area around the physical stand be clear, with a waiting area for wheelchairs with enough space to move around blah blah blah. So they put it in some sand outside someone's house (note that private land usually starts at the mailbox)

    I believe the route formerly operating on Embleton Avenue was a Route 955 deviation to a former "Activ Industries" location in Embleton. I have a pre-2010 screenshot of the area on Transperth's defunct "Area Maps" not showing any normal routes along that stretch of roads

      Yes I found the timetable with the deviation listed on Wayback Machine.

    Hello, great videos, thank you. Do you know please what bus numbers took over the old 48 and 55 routes please? I catch the bus from stop 11643 (Guildford Rd Maylands) into the city, and after being off work for a few months recovering from surgery I have forgotten; except for number 40. I rang the Transperth line and hung up after over 30 mins. Many thnaks and sorry to use you as an info line! Cheers.

    • @TransportofPerth
      @TransportofPerth  6 месяцев назад +1

      @@SuzieQ1234 Yes, route 40 has fully replaced route 48. Unfortunately, route 55 was not replaced fully and instead changed to route 45 between Bayswater and Bassendean, while the section along Guildford Road after Bayswater has lost the route and now has reduced frequency (this is the only section of the area that got disadvantaged by the changes). The frequency after Maylands Shopping Centre has been restored with new route 43.
      But yes, unfortunately since you live between Maylands Shops and King William Street your frequency has been halved and the only bus available to you now is route 40, unless you take a short walk to Caledonian Avenue to catch route 41.

      No it was useless to go for two hours especially when no one else.qould go so they would be reluctant to teach anything to so few people anyway.
