OMG Dina! Thank you so much for this review. Been dying to see what the difference is and if I should upgrade. I have the older version in Midnight Navy and it fits like a glove. I feel like I'm wearing it, not carrying it. But it is so beat up now and I was thinking of getting the newer version. My local store had 2 of the older version left for the same price. After watching your review, I bought the older version. The main reasons for me personally were the trampoline back with no mesh covering (I sometimes slide my map in there) and the loss of the full mesh stash pocket at the front. Watching your review, I just realized the newer version has no rain cover and no sunglasses loop. Probably the only positive is larger hip belt pockets but my phone fits in the older version so I'm not too worried about that. Also, I would hate for that padding to stick out. I have it on a Kelty pack and I don't exactly find that very comfortable. The Jade in the older version is perfect. Again, thank you for this awesome review.

I have Jade 28 even an earlier version than those two. Because it was not in a colour I liked after 2 years of using I order newer version. And what ? I was very disappointed with the volume of the pack. Newer version was still 28L but so so so much smaller inside I couldn't pack all the gear I was able to pack to my old Jade 28...

It’s a very different design than the other Gregory backpacks I found.
