It's a moot point. The problems that have (tried to) kept the Packers out of contention for decades are still the Front Office. They always seem to be seeking some non-existent middle ground where they win enough games to make it look like they're doing their job well enough to keep them, but can somehow still miss the playoffs so they won't have to work in January.
They didn't get Rodgers any WRs or strong defenses. Just this draft, even though you needed a safety, you traded The Clear #1 Safety In The Draft *to a division rival* for a 5th-rounder who can't possibly be half as valuable.
      They're _trying_ to stay middle!

The Packers traded their 1st and a 4th (which may have even been a comp tbh idr) to move up 4 spots for whos hopefully their future guy. This whole ‘trade up’ thing everyone is focusing on is silly considering how much a franchise QB means to an organization. 49ers traded way up for Lance. Browns traded 3 firsts for Watson. Great video, as a packers fan who literally grew up watching 2 qbs I kind of like what we have going. The packers were smart and knew Rodgers was going to be done soon, and the team they had around him wasn’t going to win a super bowl more than likely so they got something for him. Love seems like he will be alright. I like his cool and calm personality. He never spoke out against anything going on, just sat and waited for his time. He seems like he will be a good leader, and sure this season could suck in general but I am excited to have a young team that can grow together over the next couple years. The chemistry will be amazing if they work out. Love also only has to be like the 15th ranked QB and the packers could realistically be in a wild card hunt just like last year when Rodgers was ranked around 15. I do appreciate Rodgers and what he did, and wish him well and maybe he will get another ring, he deserves it.

It is not difficult to compare the Love and Rodgers transition. A few thoughts in comparing these two. First, they have had the opportunity to sit and develop their craft. Second, he has a great core of young pass catchers. Very similar to Rodgers with Jones , Nelson, Jennings and Finley. Now it is Watson, Doubs, Toure, Musgrave and Kraft. With a decent line and solid running backs. Actually a better backfield now than Rodgers had. Third, compare both defenses. Rodgers had Matthews, Shields, Jenkins, Woodson, Raji, Collins and Williams. Love has Gary, Alexander, Campbell, Douglas, Wyatt, Clark, Smith ( he may be gone), Nixon, Savage, Stokes and their Rookie Van Ness. They need to improve however it is a solid nucleus. Maybe in 2 years Love is hoisting the Lombardi trophy. It is hard not to see a pattern to the way GB does business. Finally, (in a year or so) if they get 1-2 solid to very good players in Free Agency. We could see the same thing. In conclusion, the conversation of similarities between the two situations is apropos. Let us engender an attitude of hope. None of us know for sure. The next QB could take GB from 30 yrs and add 15 more yrs of HOF QB PLAY!!!
