Don't see too many home builders/renovators transferring skills to airstream remodels. Had a few thoughts during vid - nailing things down for transport (like the table top) and total weight of the renovated pieces added to the GVWR. I'm guessing whatever 3/4 or 1 ton truck you own for your house construction biz doesn't care about the airstream weight. Nice job with Penelope.
Great renovation. It looks lovely. Only thing I’d caution is to not use butcher block oil but to actually seal the countertop. You can use a product like Osmo that you can add more on top of it scratches. The butcher block oil doesn’t totally seal and will dry. You’ll end up with splits eventually because of seasonal and geographical changes. I’m professional woodworker and worked at the only authorized airstream custom shop in the world. I just don’t want to sound like a tool or sound like I’m being negative. Just want you to get the most out of your build. All-in-all, I love it! Oh! There is a hidden track system for the barn door that does go on the exterior wall. It’s about double in cost but would solve the bulky problem. Also, also, I love hearing the cicadas. I’m from Texas but live in Portland and I miss that sound. Thanks for the video! Danny
Wow I was blown away how nice that is. You both killed that. I am new to the airstream movement. I just purchased a 1975 sovereign. 💯 Original. I was curious how long it took you to remodel and do you have suggestions on where to purchase upgrades like the fridge, stove, ac, microwave and toilet from? Also...did you guys put in all new water heater and tanks and all electrical? Good work btw
Love this tour! Brilliantly planned. We couldn't afford an airstream nor the new TAB's, which we find cute. So we got a tiny E-Pro Forest River 24fk, which for just the two of us we love. Also, we pull with a Jeep so we needed a very low dry weight. But, if we had the time and a bigger truck we would happily do what you and "Drivin and Vibin" couple are now doing. Not to mention how valuable your airstream is now!!! We look forward to your upcoming episodes :) Safe travels, Kim & James (treasure hunt traveler's)
This is the same Airstream that we are renovating. Love what you have done with the design and functionality. We are currently updating our Vista View windows but cannot find a solution to frame the windows like you did. Is the framing on top of the Airstream interior skin custom or we can find it online?
Very pretty the trailers not bad either !! but seriously you done a fine job, we are renovating our 1969 23' Safari and like yourselves its just for the 2 of us so same same permanent ottoman bed in the rear and we have also kept the original clocks and housing. We was not going to install a oven just a hob but on seeing your stove we have change our minds what is the make and were did you buy it from.? thanks
I love your work, is this something you do for others? Not much can be said other than great work both in fact, in concept and execution. I love what you have done. I was wondering for something like you have done what is the approximate finished costs?
We haven't had any experience with Airstreams new enough to have the mouse fur. I believe many people remove it and then strip it to the aluminum... Might try searching the topic in Airstream Addicts or Airstream Restoration group on Facebook!
**I appreciate the care and thought and planning that went into this 'repair/replace/refurbish' effort...but that 'stark bone white' in the bedroom scares the crap outta' me! I kept expecting the 'Twins' from "The Shining" to appear and invite me to 'play' with them!** (I used gallon after gallon of 'Antique White' in my house...mainly to 'cover' blemishes and imperfections as well as to serve as a neutral-background for art-work, posters, and all of my other 'weird shit' personal projects that I like...so you'd think "Well, you used a lotta' White too! So what's the deal you think my choice is 'creepy!?" and I think it's because there's no 'contrast' at all inside..."All White-on-White make Gerry go CRAZY!!! looking for my little hatchet".
I gotta admit, all that white makes for a striking design, open and full of light. But I see so much white on white in modern architecture I feel that it's a bit cliche.
So much white reminds me of death. I had to take my fiance off of life support while he all wrapped up in white. That much white gives me anxiety! That place would have been nice in a pale gray with white trim.
This is the BEST design! I’m going to do mine exactly like yours 🥰🥰🥰 Thanks for sharing.

Thanks! We learned a lot with Penelope, our first remodel!!
I'm starting to help with a reno tomorrow on an '83 Ambassador. I really like all the white. In such a small space I think it's the best choice.

😍😍😍 It is by far the most beautiful renovation I ever seen on an Airstream!
Your barn doo/ bathroom design is BRILLIANT!!
💕
Very nice and thought thru job. I love the simplicity of design and the natural white . Looks clean and fresh. You hit a home run.
Thanks so much!!
Great Airstream. Also great bathroom. 👍nice & bright.
Your Airstream is just breathtaking! I'll definitely be looking at yours for inspiration if I ever get one! 💙
Wow

Everything was new. We like Vintage Trailer supply and Amazon for stuff. Toilet, we prefer composting, natures head. Took us a year to renovate.
That was an impressive redesign. Enjoyed this tour immensely. Keep up the great work.
Wow the bathroom!!!! Great job & straightforwardness w the tour
Thanks!!
Outstanding! Thanks for sharing this project, there are many good ideas in this video.

light, bright and beautiful.
Penelope looks beautiful. You guys did a very impressive renovation.
David Clay thank you!!
The storage is remarkable. Love your beautiful home.
Nice build!!
I'm rebuilding a travel trailer.. Thanks for some great ideas!
I'm buying one! It's so cozy and fun!
Very thoughtful layout. Hell with doing a renovation. I will just buy one from your fleet... haha
Perfect, we'll have one ready in a few months!
BEAUTIFUL!!!! Amazing team, Blessings for both of you!!
very beautiful airstream! great job!
What did you use to cover the upper vista view windows to frame them in?
I'd like to know as well!
It turned out so beautiful!!
Penelope is artwork! How pretty she is!💙

Great work! Question do you guys painted the aluminum panels white? Of what used to make then look that clean.
Thanks
The panels were already covered with a vinyl painted like texture so we just painted the vinyl surface
Where did you find a rear bedroom airstream with the side bathroom? I’ve been searching and haven’t come across any. Any suggestions.
It's very hard. They are harder to come by. We have one but it won't be done until spring.
Beautiful!
You said you had one that won’t be ready till spring is it the same style as this one?
Correct but not going all white.
Love it.... good job 👍
Thanks!
Beautiful 💚⭐️

Beautiful! I noticed the drapes match the wallpaper. Pretty! Nice job on this project 👍
Why not make a video of each step when Renovating through the whole process. I would like to learn each steps.
Lindo trabalho
Nice job
Where did you get your curtains?
The fabric was Scott Brothers (or whatever the Property Brothers call their fabric line) from Joann. The rods are from Home Depot.
do you want to sell this trailer
WOW
What is your shower pan made of?
It's an icon shower pan 27x24, plastic
Penelope the Airstream Thank you! Y’all did an awesome job!

Penelope is quite a beautiful dame!
