Thank you for this great review. Glad to hear that you as an audiophile can live with wireless earbuds too. I have no choice but to use them, because I need them for work.
Another model you could maybe try are the Cambridge Audio Melomania 1+, they are only 60$ now but used to be 120. I have them an am pretty satisfied with them, but it would be interesting to hear what you think about them.

I have the Melomania Touch. While they have the best sound I've experienced until today in inears, they just don't fit well in my ear and if the are in place, they loosen quickly and fall out eventually. Also I am no fan of the touch control.
Which is why I am thinking about switching to IEM, where the cable is tucked behind the ear and ensure a better fitment.

      @DenisDolisy Год назад +1

@@Mare0912 This sounds like you should try the 1+ then. They have a much more compact form factor (essentially just a tube) and a real button. Once you've found the right eartips they sit tight and don't fall off. If you buy them on Amazon you can always send them back.
The IEM's with the cable behind the ear have their disadvantages too. Taking them off is inconvenient and you probably won't find ones with bluetooth, the only ones i found were the Hidizs H1 (with MS1 drivers) and they sounded really boring.
Finding ones that have the same sound quality could be difficult too.

Alice claims to have few new technical tricks up its sleeve.
It would be interesting to see these compared against Sony WF-1000XM4, Airpods Pro 2nd gen, Samsung Buds 2 Pro and the likes, which are popular choices for the masses.

How does it compare to Bose QuietComfort Earbuds II? EDIT: Never mind. The Alice doesn't have ANC.

I also had strong reservations about wireless headsets, especially earphones. I bought Sony WF 1000XM3 and returned it immediately as I was appalled by the sound; I had a similar experience with Bose. (Bose may be the king in ANC, but the sound of their wireless earbuds is trash.) But then I realized that ANC might be the spoiler. I started looking for wireless earbuds with a good sound profile without ANC. Then I found Shure Aonic 215 TWE, and I was surprised by the excellent sound! The soundstage was superb! The battery endurance was also very good. It really gave my similarly priced wired earphones a run for their money! Sennheiser CX Plus TWE and Final Audio ZE3000 and ZE2000 are also excellent options. Right now, the only good TWE with ANC is Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 3; it retains the clarity and fidelity of sound even when you turn on ANC. Thanks for reviewing this Moondrop TWE! I’ll test this for sure when they arrive here in India.

Hi mate, excellent video as always. Ad you said, wireless gives so much freedom, even if you loose some quality who cares ? The caveat however: they tend to be more expensive and fragile. The other good point is, you don't need a dongle dac or external dac/amp, and you simply rely on the simplicity of Bluetooth on your phone. Ldac codec is welcome here... Please review more wireless devices, as that seems to be the future... Thanks.

Qualify: I have an audiophile amplifier & DAC w/planar-magnetic headphone set-up @ my computer AND an all-separates audiophile speaker system in my main room. I am HERE …'nuff said! 😀
I own assorted over-ear and in-ear, noise-cancelling Bluetooth headphones (it’s a discussion)…Sony WF-1000XM4s being my favorite. It's the combo of convenience & sound….that trumps my audio obsession. I own Apple, Sennheiser and Sony products. They all interface flawlessly with my Apple devices and the sound is very acceptable except for perhaps the AirPod Pro2s (I use them just for phone calls).
I used my Sony WF-1000XM4s to listen to this video while I made breakfast this morning. You sounded MORE than "good enough"! 👍🏼😀
Dongles, DACs and wires….um…just NO! 🤷🏻‍♂️

The problem is the price. Slightly less than Apple EarPod pro 2

The Apple AirPod Pro2 are good for phone calls…adequate for music….but..
….there are waaaaaaay better choices for music out there.

@@iiWiReviews Thanks for the reply - I appreciate it. If they did, they would be really desirable - you could listen to something on your laptop, but then take a phone call; without having to do anything.

I don't look for the audiophile experience with head phones. Just to say I don't like head phones. Good speakers are the way. So I would not spend a lot of money on them. I am quite happy with my Bluetooth 5.3 ear buds for less than $20 from AliExpress. No need to spend more .
