I had to pause this after the first line because I was laughing so hard. I wish this song was around when I was in college. I was surrounded by those kids.
Shame you'll have to line the pockets of a big corporate behemoth to get it though, huh! Whether that be via download, or an actual physical copy, from a store.
I really like how you guys weave groove with intensity. This is the kind of shit I can headbang to! Also, your show in Sweden with Architects was amazing, that's how I got into you guys!
Can't get enough of you guys, seen you live 3 times, met you all twice, absolutely unbelievable how far you've came and the quality of music you've upheld. Can't wait guys, you should be proud! Big love from Northern Ireland

FFS! I am in love with this album so far reminds me so much of the hardcore, post hardcore, bands and their style I loved back in the mid-late 90's thank you Stray from the path for going deep into the roots of great hardcore music and adding your own flavor to.
Just saw these guys live in SF open for Underoath with Bad Omens and Spiritbox, they were right as fuck. Fortune Teller was killer, but this was funny af. Bad Omens fucking killed it too, sounded so good.
I can't believe how interconnected my current favorite 4 bands (who all have sincere and important commentary to add to this watered down scene) are becoming. To see that Stray from the Path featured Jason Butler on Anonymous and now on this record they have Sam and Rou Reynolds. Mad props to all of these guys.
Lmaoooo the lyrics went over some of you guy's heads and some of y'all of seem offended by it. maybe the song is directed towards you 👀👀👀 but in all seriousness the lyrics could be taken out of context but the message is still there
Punk is the OG SJW gone wrong today. They're supposed to rally people that gave a shit and that was a beautiful thing not breed these posers with the half-assed mainstream version of the original ideals. Nowadays it's all pussies ranting on social media about every little thing while being complete hypocrites. At least when punk gets hypocritical it's appropriate.
If only the music industry and the APMA'S can realize there giving the wrong awards to the wrong bands, you guys deserve so much. Much respect from AZ. Keep it real.
Mhh a good, complex rhythm. That's pretty unusual nowadays ! Thank you for bringing such a refreshing thing to the table. 5 I'm french so I hope that made sense )
just because someone's rich and white doesn't mean they don't have a grasp on reality and the issues that are going on stereotyping never goes anywhere positive
***** I don't get it, what's the difference other then age? Being a rich white kid is just a wealthy person who is white...and a kid. Maybe they say stupid shit because they're kids? Also what about rich black kids, you think they don't exist? You think don't dehumanize the poor? Go look at how some black celebs live. I get the message you're trying to say but it's poorly said no matter how you justify it. Especially how in the new song you say "free speech is dead" while wanting to deny kids their free speech and "shut them up" for their age/race/socio status. Not to mention all the most racist white kids aren't rich, some of the most racist whites are the poor uneducated ones. The same rich kids you're talking about mostly have your view point. Anyway I liked the song but not the lyrics.
@@afed69daprophet Thank you for telling exactly how it is. The bands I listened to when I was a teenager - like The Sex Pistols, Government Issue, etc. Were pro freedom of speech - where as this band obviously isn't unless you agree with them. That's fascist! This SJW crap has leaked into EVERY form of media. I can't even go see a movie without being preached to and it's fucking annoying. At least I had a time in my life when the world wasn't bat shit crazy... And if you dare to step out of line - you get dog piled by the left. Stuck in a blizzard of snowflakes. Hitler and the Nazi Party were VERY fond of burning books, art and literature that didn't coincide with their beliefs. I'm sick of identity politics that tell you if you are a certain race or status financially - you have no right to an opinion what so ever - even if it is valuable, factual and makes perfect sense - you're simply shut down and told to STFU. And I'm not talking about the small part of the population that truly ARE Neo Nazis and members of the KKK. How is this band "edgy" or cool when they are doing exactly what they are preaching against?
I like this new stuff, It just worries me how you are taking the route of "privilege coercion/shaming"-tactics, which in my opinion just segregates people even more and lowers understanding between people. Everyone's got something to say and everyone should be heard out because everyones perspective has the possibility to be worthwhile and provide insight. What would make it make sense to me would be if it was complaints about not having an iPhone or trivial bullshit but I get the sense that all you say with this is: "anything you say will be dismissed because of your race and class.". Which is highly ironic. By all means, respond and give me your two cents if you're reading this. You are very good to your fans, responding to their comment and such. Have I missed the mark on what your song's about?
ITTURNEDTHEDEAD I think you may have missed the mark, which happens, and I would love to explain our interpretation of the song. The song is not about white people who are wealthy, it is about "rich white kids"...which are different. There is nothing wrong with being wealthy, and working hard.... thats not what we are trying to tackle here. This is about the people, that have grown up and never had a "real" issue in their lives. They were born rich, and taught rich. They have been completely dehumanized and lack the understanding that other races and sexes don't have the same privileges that they have had. Stray is by no means rich, but we are lucky enough to live off this band, which is rich in itself. But I understand that some people are born with less opportunities than the average white american male. When I saw public unrest in Baltimore and Ferguson, I saw that there were people who were tired of oppression, they were tired of the 50% unemployment rate, and they were tired of their people being murdered. When the "rich white kid" saw it as "Thugs who are looting, so let them all kill eachother who cares" That shit is easy. Way to easy to see and way to easy to say. And then their friends see it, and their friends don't know better so it influences them, and then snowballs into something that is much bigger than themselves.
***** Thank you for your response, truly appreciate it! It's true, power and an abundance of something can make our empathy go numb, not just in money but also in power and other walks of life. I can totally get behind that, I've seen people who've had it real easy. For me here where I live: it's been diverse and not always have they've been draconian, seeing those being stepped on as 'savages' but instead very misguided people (mostly youths) who take the side of minorities, hurting, shaming and hating those who do not fit in to their criteria of "oppressed" and I see the "common" or uninformed taking this position of hate on people because they're straight or white and so on and so forth, of course the criteria varies from culture to culture. I guess my experience with these people got me worried over you that you felt this way. I'm not from America, I might add if this sounds all foreign to you. When I got into Hardcore, claimed edge, started up my band, Creatures, with my best pals, I did so because nothing mattered except for what we said and what others had to say, that we were angry but never felt any hate and that we understood and tried to understand everything and everyone for a better world. The struggle against racism isn't to make the scales tip to the other side, its to get rid of the scale alltogether. That was a long message, but I hope you see where my worry came from, yeah? Also, please come to Trollhättan, Sweden again so we can do the rowing boat one more time, aight?
ITTURNEDTHEDEAD I am pretty sure I understand where you are coming from. Why bring up anything about privileged white people at all, when it just keeps another form of racism alive...I believe is what you're trying to say. To that I will use an example of why WE think this is necessary. If my wife is upset because I never do this dishes, its easy to say the simple fix is "come on man, do the dishes"....but what if I am not thinking about it? What if I don't care about them? What if I can't see what something so simple like doing the dishes is making my wife so upset? Maybe I need to be told "hey, start to change this because it upsets me"?? I think that if this song gets one kid psyched about it, and that kid notices people he knows like the people in the song, and can work to change that person to see a different side of the world, then it does its job. We feel a responsibility to write songs that people are too worried to write or they write an easier version of it. There are plenty of songs saying "Everybody just get along" and not enough "this is the problem"....Stray writes a lot of the "this is the problem" songs to compliment the "everybody just get along" songs. I hope that makes sense haha
***** Fair enough, and I get the analogy its good stuff. I don't know if I myself would use labels like that when writing for my band to get the point but rather would point out what they do and how it ruins for others; I'd point to your song "Negative & Violent" which is among the songs we'd sit and discuss for hours on end about its meaning and how it translates into our lives when we were beginning to write our first (and only haha) EP. The message we took from it was the same as it is being conveyed in this one but we could apply it to more. The ambiguity yet being so direct with the premises of what its about was among what inspired me incredibly in my lyrics-writing, it makes it timeless in a sense and yet tackles the air out of the issue but more importantly: it makes the listener think, apply that shit because the premise exists everywhere, regardless of what the 'crook' is. I ain't sitting here writing that how I write lyrics is better, that'd be bogus seeing as it is inspired by bands like you guys, STYG, Terror, Yersinia, Comeback Kid and so on.
ITTURNEDTHEDEAD I feel you. Glad we got to have this talk. But what it comes down to is that we write music our way, and you write it your way. You are influenced by certain things and we are influenced by others. Thats what makes us us and you you. Whats sick here is getting to discuss things and end with a mutual respect, regardless of difference of opinion on the approach. Thanks for listening and good luck with your music. See you at a show soon I hope.
Having really enjoyed the other two songs SFTP put out from their upcoming album, and with Sam be my favourite vocalist (from my favourite band) I was pretty excited to see that he was featured on one of the songs. After listening to it, I'm really disappointed. The lyrics are really cringy and just terrible in my opinion. Even Sam's part did nothing to help the song. It sounds like a song an angsty 14 year old would write. :/
***** hopefully it will because I loved the other two songs! Keep doing what you're doing and love doing it regardless, guys! Thanks for taking the time to reply. :)
I'm not rich.. But even if I was this song is say that my opinion doesn't matter. Basically it's saying the validity of a opinion can change and every with the Color of the subjects skin and social standing.just think about that for second, what kind of message is that sending?
@@brandongannon721 its about basically first world problems and basically snobs who are too ignorant to understand anything but their own miniscule problems
you probably were one of those people who were like "i liked Rage Against the Machine until i learned they were political" lmao actual retardation. pathetic piece of shit
I love the simplicity of this song. It's super different from most of Stray's stuff in that there's really only 3 or 4 "riffs", and non chaotic ones at that, but the way they're put together works so goddamn well.
Been supporting you guys since I picked up Audio Prozac and Our Oceana at Drifters in Nashua New Hampshire what seems like decades ago. You guys slay. So cool seeing how huge you are now! Good shit.
I love how you guys are still making music and it's still awesome stuff. The outro in this song is one of my all time favorites. Cannot wait to hear the whole album. Greetings from Iceland, who desperately need to be included in your European tours.
Today I learned, haha! That's awesome, guys! If you are looking for one more Icelandic band to listen to, please, for your sake, check out Agent Fresco. They are about to release a new album in like, three freaking days. Thanks for responding, dude. Appreciate it.
Damn, real talk is I CANNOT WAIT FOR THIS ALBUM Saw these guys headline in orlando and it was easily the CRAZIEST show I've seen here Can't wait to repeat it

This song rules on so many levels!!Can't wait for the album to drop :D
I could see Sam holding a switchblade to some pretentious rich kids throat... This needs a music video.
top 5 albums of 2015 EASILY! for me I can already tell!
Andrew Segura Fuck yes, can't wait till you hear it!
magicMOBILEgenie It happens! Confident it will grow on you and you will like the new record. Thanks for checking it regardless.
***** hopefully it will because I loved the other two songs! Keep doing what you're doing and love doing it regardless, guys! Thanks for taking the time to reply. :)
Yup, 3/3 songs rip on this album so far. Thanks for making enjoyable music guys.
Kyle Simpson Thank you for listening to it. Can't wait till you hear the whole joint
Pretty disappointed on the lyrics of this song
+ross john i have a feeling you're a rich white kid
I'm not rich.. But even if I was this song is say that my opinion doesn't matter. Basically it's saying the validity of a opinion can change and every with the Color of the subjects skin and social standing.just think about that for second, what kind of message is that sending?
ross john That snobby rich white kids know fuckall about true oppression.
@@Ziggy_Layne I'm gonna guess this broke-ass excuse for a boy band doesn't know shit about oppression either.
@@brandongannon721 its about basically first world problems and basically snobs who are too ignorant to understand anything but their own miniscule problems
Guys been listening to you for years you so haven't lost the message, the groove or the beat keep it up. The album is gonna be a beast!
mark dobson Thank you mark!
They should've dedicated this song to Donald Trump and Brock Turner.
Black people have low I.Q.'s

Damn I used to like this band until I found out they're basically Antifa
off you fuck then
@@p3rcey Or what you gonna beat me because everyone with a different opinion than yours is a Nazi?
you probably were one of those people who were like "i liked Rage Against the Machine until i learned they were political" lmao actual retardation. pathetic piece of shit
So badass! Great song.so stoked for the whole album to drop.
Alex Wallace Can't wait till you hear it Alex! Thanks for checking this out
No problem guys. So,stoked to see you guys in nashville too. Most anticipated of the year
I love the simplicity of this song. It's super different from most of Stray's stuff in that there's really only 3 or 4 "riffs", and non chaotic ones at that, but the way they're put together works so goddamn well.
Austin Wade Thank you very much Austin...definitely were going for that on this record.
This is , absolutely , best thing I heard for too long time from SumerianRecrods.
