This series has become a strange sort of comfort watching thing for me. And especially this episode is one of my favorites. Man, tabletop was and is great. I hope Wheaton and Day will do something similar in the future.

I originally watched this before I read the books. While going back through the series I freaked out a little when I realized.

Lords of Waterdeep is one of my favourite worker placement board games ever. So much fun!
I've been meaning to get in to board games and these videos are great to introduce people to board games.....rather than people who don't show the real fun of the game and just the rules and regulations, these videos show how fun these games are. (also depends if you play with people who can play board games).😊
I was already excited for this episode because Patrick Rothfuss is my most favoritest person in the universe, but the rest of the cast made it even more exciting. Wil, Felicia, and Brandon from Rocketjump? Absolutely epic team.
Oh man, 7 years later and I still miss this show. It was so entertaining.

I've been married, bought a house, divorced, sold a house, married again, had 3 kid's, move home twice, bought new house, promoted in my job twice all 8n that space of time! Message to Pat: Do not fear perfection, you will never achieve it!

This episode convinced me to buy Lords of Waterdeep. Wife and I love it!
I have to thank you for this episode. One of my game night group got this on Saturday, because of the show. We played it Sunday night, and we loved it so much that Monday he immediately went out and got an expansion for it. This is by far our favorite new game since I got Pandemic (also because of TableTop).
I bought this game because of you guys. :)

I'm pretty sure that I'll be able to read that, I'm not so sure about A Song of Ice and Fire though. If any of you is a fan of the books such as myself, I'm sorry for you.
I think i read somewhere that the book is going through the editing process, which could take a while grant you. Give it time. We don't want something that wasnt a full effort.

The book has been going through an "editing process" for years now :D In fact all three books were written before Name of the Wind even came out, there's just been years and years of revisions since then. Still, they're worth the wait.
Just stumbled on this episode, so awesomes!! And if you are all still reading this, Felicia, please tell Pat we're cheering him on to his next book.. *looks hopeful, keeps checking bookstore every month*

Just bought the Digital boardgame version after I watched this. I got 145 my first game! The AI Players 1 & 2 had 132 and 130 points. I imagine the scores are affected by how many players there are. Woot!
Here's the scoring breakdown:
End Points: 115 (8 completed quests)
3 Coins = 1 point
1 cube left or is this agents? = 1 point
Bonus points = 28 (from Arcana and Warfare quests)
The game, in a way, reminds me of Ticket to Ride. You have to have the right number of card colors to complete routes. However, this game has a lot more variety of ways to score points and interact with the other players.
Keep in mind, quests, and the bonuses from quests, are still the best way to get points, by far. Also, look for quest cards with plot points or whatever they're called. They give you ongoing, immediate bonus points for the rest of the game, for completing certain types of cards.
My second game was even better! I got a score of 166 (3 players total)
Here's the breakdown:
End Points: 132 (9 completed quests)
12 Coins = 6 point
4 cube left or is this agents? = 4 point
Bonus points = 24 (from Commerce and Warfare quests)
Why? The first game I only had 1 building. This time I built 7 buildings (even though my guy wasn't a builder) so I earned lots of VP, coins, and cubes along the way. Then I did a bunch of quests from rounds 5-8.

Top scoring game ever! Last two rounds I completed a +40 quest and +15 that also gave me +2 per piety quest and the +5 from my Lord.

Top scoring regular Undermountain game so far. Completed a quest that allowed me to complete quests directly from the Inn.

I don't know if they sent him stuff. However, I might have heard of someone, not me... Okay it was me, who called Guiness while intoxicated and told them how much I enjoyed their product. They sent me coasters, posters, and a shirt. They were actually pretty cool about it. My buddy said they talked to me for 30 minutes.
