Thanking you so much Alan for these words of continual wisdom. Meeting you years ago at LEC was a rare pleasure with Father Leo. Spiritual power is alive in each one of us and if we use it, the miracles are endless. Beannachtaí leat mo chara.

2 questions: Having listened to many Lilou interviews and bought into the love:fear paradigm..how does one go about watching sports? In sports we LOVE to HATE. This is an integral part of the game. The hate is out of respect, of course..Does one who has bought into love all the way give up watching and participating in competition? I believe G-d loves Sports..for is not what happens here on Earth the greatest of all sports? Second question: How does one who is filled with love defend himself against those who are out to kill him? Allow himself to be killed?

+144Donn yes i am sure that if you come into love, you will not compete, not on a psycological level, games and sports can still be enjoyed..i mean, some people LOVE to hit seal's over the head with a bat, people love bullfighting...does that mean it has to continue....and i dont know about that last question...byron katie was in a situation like that, where a man threatened her with a gun, she didnt defend herself or get filled with fear or anger, she felt compassion and she was not going to miss her last minutes of her life defending..he didnt pull the trigger btw, since she lived on.

+Lincorn1 TY for your thoughtful response. But, I was actually speaking of sport far more nuanced than violence against animals...this is clearly off the charts and forbidden behavior in my view. I was speaking of Baseball or American Football..most come out of it unscathed, but our ego, emotions and testosterone flow like rivers. I was wondering if it was good for one's spiritual health or not.
As for the second issue I was speaking more about en masse..when groups of haters and killers (unfortunately, this has come close to the land Lilou) threaten a civilized society. In my view although I am filled with love or try to be, I still need a shovel to dig a hole, a broom to sweep the floor and unfortunately, at times, a gun to defend against those out to kill. All the love in the world will not change masses of people who are brought up and acculturated with violence and hatred of another.
I believe we must understand there are limits and parameters when to apply love. There are other times the love must come out in a far more critical and harsh manner. You cannot coddle someone who has killed and professes he's right. One is also not supposed to allow themselves to be killed. Even the one filled with love must defend himself against an aggressor. This lesson\test is being thrown at us all. Unbound love is not always appropriate. Love for the peaceful man must be greater than for the killer. If this is the choice, I must defend against the killer.

Where can I find a hippie chick like Lilou? I'm entering a new paradigm.
