The best way to survive being tased is to not get tased. Don't volunteer to be tased unless you are going to be a cop, don't be a creep, and don't resist arrest. Most people get tased from cops. Don't make the cops need anything other than verbal commands. Fight it in the courts not in the streets.

@@BeefHammer1 that's not true. Which cops are tasing minorities who are complying? I've only heard of it happening once and the cops around him reported him. If people were being tased while complying there would be videos everywhere.
Even with most of the cop involved shootings the people were resisting arrest and fighting cops.

As someone who has been hit with a taser, react belt, and a stun shield I can honestly say I would rather that, than be pepper sprayed again. I've had to be pepper sprayed twice for work. I would rather be tased all day long than pepper sprayed.
Depends, pepper spray is only painful to the eyes, not the skin, or my skin at least. Almost anything/spray is uncomfortable for the eyes. But, tasing a person is easier than pp spray, he can just close his eye for a few seconds while going for your hand and take the pp spray away..

My dad is a police officer himself and I did see him get tased in person for a demonstration at a high school I teach at. I went on stage and asked some questions to him before he got tased for the crowd. He said that if you were to just to cooperate with a police and be honest, the likelihood of being tased is a lot less.
Any cop ever taser me and their kids will wind up fatherless by the end of the week. Comply my ass, shock me and ill make sure someone violates you in ways that will make you not feel like a man anymore.

If someone comes at you with a knife and the police decides to tase him instead of shooting with a gun then you would turn a lethal encounter in a non lethal one, but oh no the person with a knife had a heart disease and now isnt breathing anymore. How is this the fault of the taser then?

Will silver mesh clothing (like in EMF protecting fabrics) have the same protective effect against tasers as clothes with carbon fiber? or will the effect be worse because of the metal?
If the mesh is conductive it will protect you. So if it's actually mesh it will protect you, but if it's just that shiny plasticy coating they put on shirts or pen buttons or whatnot it won't protect you. It will only protect you if the darts make contact with the mesh also. So say you get one in your unprotected leg and one in your back/mesh then it won't protect you. Electricity follows the path of least resistance, being that metal has almost no resistance and the human body has relatively high resistance the electricity would prefer to flow through the mesh and won't shock you. You may still get some what of a shock, but it will be hundreds of times less than if you weren't wearing the mesh.
