Loved the first example with Davinci. All in all, a beautiful creative process to be aware of. Wish we had Adobe Lightroom AI face or skin selection for video...oh my.
Color grading in Resolve is a breeze and fun. But I have great tools and plugins in FCP and my editing became a second nature there. Is there an efficient round trip methods, tips and precautions that you could advise on. It would be very helpful to elevate my color grading and maintain my fun doing it.
Bought cinema grade in hope I will use it often but it’s just so complicated to use on Final Cut Pro X and haven’t used it since first week of purchase. Just hoping there is a in-depth tutorials I am unaware of.
Cinemagrade is such a pain to use in Final Cut Pro, I hardly use it at all. I wish I could use it on an adjustment layer, instead of each individual shot. Also, for me on an M2 Macbook Pro, I can't select hero frames at all, it just gives me the first frame in the clip, not the frame I am on. It also doesn't work on an HDR timeline. I do like this tutorial though!
Yes, go here tutorials.colorgradingcentral.com/gettingstarted/ we also have the color grading Academy, which is our highest rated course, and it deep dives, not only into using the software, but also into Color grading and theory.
I've known of this hack for the better part of a decade. Decided to try it again with premiere pro and davinci, and it just looked better on premiere. The best option is to just adjust contrast and exposure appropriately, and avoid the hacks. Making multiple layers with keys and blur just makes for longer render times and more issues.
The blending function is different than just cranking contrast, especially the way it effects the tonal range and blends blurred pixels. I agree it's a hack in Premiere and FCP but it is right at home in DaVinci. Surprised you liked the results more in Premiere.
@@colorgradingcentralmaybe on the blurring interactions, but interestingly when I just used soft light on the whole image it was the same effect with contrast at the right pivot
Hey, so I bought cinema grade like a year and a half ago. I have 2 questions. 1 is there any updates and if so how do I update it in Final Cut Pro? 2 do I get access to that lut
That’s a fair question as each shot will be unique, you’ll have to repeat this procedure for each one. However, you could copy the correction from one to another and then just refine the key selection.
That’s a fair question however, the key aspect here is that you are creating a composite of two different layer, the keyer in final cut, doesn’t actually separate the skin from the background or alpha channel
@@colorgradingcentral Correct, but wouldn't duplicating the clip, adding the color mask with HSL sliders to isolate the skin tones and adding a blur then changing the blend mode accomplish that effect without having to use the keyer as a workaround?
Sorry I didn’t want the title to be really long and drawn out and I have three programs to cover so my apologies. It should give you some good direction.

I’m honestly surprised you put this out for free for RUclipsrs. Thank you so much
No problem!
@@colorgradingcentraland what if i have 100 clips,it could take years to finish,or maybe theres a solution to shorten it up..cheers
Thank you so much, you literally changed everything I do on all my Adobe Suites
great stuff, you're such an amazing teacher. You have mastered the art of simplifying things.
RAD! I almost said I'm out, but scrubbed and fourn Premiere. You're the man!

This is awesome! Is there maybe an equivalent of this video for photographers (Lightroom or Photoshop)? 🤞

Couldn't agree more!
Awesomeness. I tried it on talking head vids, it is great. Thank mate.

Have you used groups in Cinemagrade? It allows you to apply looks to groups of clips in a more convenient and controllable way than adjustment layers.

I always wonder how they do it 😔thanks for this !

Hello,
I would like to buy your software from you, but is the payment secure?
Yes it is.
Hey, so I bought cinema grade like a year and a half ago. I have 2 questions. 1 is there any updates and if so how do I update it in Final Cut Pro? 2 do I get access to that lut
Why don't you make a Plugin that can smoothly do this?
Very informative
Oooooo daddy! I’m about to try this!
Haha best comment ever Seth, give it a go and let me know your results
Ausome
yow this is some good software to use.
Do we have to do this for each shot in a multiple shot timeline? Or there's a way to copy it to multiple shots without losing the look?
That’s a fair question as each shot will be unique, you’ll have to repeat this procedure for each one. However, you could copy the correction from one to another and then just refine the key selection.
Good video
Nice
I've been trying to use this and it makes my subjects skin tone look red, is there something I'm doing wrong?
Just try pulling back the saturation in the reds, by adding contrast and density it’s having this effect.
Just curious why do you use the HSL Qualifier in Resolve but a keyer in Final Cut. Final Cut also gives you the HSL sliders when you use a color mask.
That’s a fair question however, the key aspect here is that you are creating a composite of two different layer, the keyer in final cut, doesn’t actually separate the skin from the background or alpha channel

@@colorgradingcentral Ah I think I see what you're saying now after going through the motions on one of the projects. Thanks for the clarification.
@@JedAckerman I tried to do that, but that mask doesnt effect the layer... or did you find out how?
Very nice tips thanks!
Please I got out of memory gpu error with my nvidia quadro 4GB so what is the recommanded gpu memory size for the plugin?
We have a new build for quadro, please send us email to support (at) cinemagrade (dot) com
Very nice video....Like 👍
Thank you very much I really appreciate it
Freaking Game Changer. The Question is am I willing to do this for 100 clips ... lol For sure on my reels
If they are similar shots or skin tones, copy and paste the color grading and make some changes if necessary
👌🏻👍🏻🙏🏻
Cool
Are these luts are stressed tested
Which LUTs?
wouuuuuu! ❤ 👏👏🍷
Let's keep this to ourselves.

No
Can you slow down 😂 I can't even paused

@@colorgradingcentral I got this by pausing the video. Thanks its good .
