I don’t remember Thomas being this accurate from the show, but he looks amazing! Plus, isn’t he a standard gauge engine cause he’s on narrow gauge tracks.

It’s actually 3-foot (914.4 mm) narrow gauge. Tweetsie Railroad is one of a small handful of narrow gauge railroads in the southeastern United States.

What is tank type engine? Are thry different from normal steam loco?
It just means that they dont need a coal tender I think.
They store water in a tank and coal that’s why there called tank engines or “Suburban Tanks”
Thomas is a LB&SCR E2 the type he’s based off of
The Rev. W. Audry actually didn’t want Thomas to be an E2 but more like a J50, but scince Regenald Pain (the illustrator for the Railway Seires books) used reference pictures of an E2, Thomas therefore was an E2. But Audry even still made Thomas have a nasty crash to send him away to be overhauled just to raise the running board and add an extra cab window and make look a little bit less of like an E2.

They have. There are 5 standard gauge versions, one being a fully functional engine. Then there is this one and a two foot gauge one as well.

That is the same thomas the train engine we used at the park i used to work at very similar i wonder if its the same one the huckleberry railroad rents every August every year really cool they used the steam engine huckleberry don't they use a diesel engine i think its better with a steam engine then a diesel awesome video and park I'd love to visit this place someday

Narrow Gauge. Both locomotives are 2 out of a handful of the last narrow gauge locomotives left in the US.

at the boulder city railroad museum Day out with Thomas event, they had a small 4 wheel shunter behind Thomas disguised as a generator car, and Thomas also had a large smoke unit too, that helped.

Shame that no E2’s survive into preservation. They were all scrapped. None were preserved.
