It's called "It" too.

No, "It" isn't a sequel!
What isn't a sequel?

Abbott and Costello would be proud.
Pennywise is a clown. A killer clown. He is from outer space. Pennywise is a killer clown from outer space
Are you implying that Pennywise, the killer clown from outer space, is in fact related to the killer clowns from outer space who star in the film ‘Killer Clowns from Outer Space’??😂
Pennywise might be a killer clown from outer space but he's not a killer klown from outer space

Hands down, this is my favorite line from the review. 😂
Nothing says "Mother's Day" than an alien spider that's disguised as a killer clown.
And I genuinely mean that
Well, in the book IT is a mother...kinda.
@@sidnew2739 I’m sorry he’s a what now!?

The spider is "female" and lays a lot of eggs.

@allydeath7406 Asexual, I guess? Though, don't worry. That'll be the _least_ of your concerns when you find out about... _that_ scene.
Happy mothers day guys!
Thanks not a mom but thanks

One of my mom's (rip) favorite books and the original mini series. Thanks for putting these together into a single video, best wishes.
I've said it before, but it bears repeating: Doug does a brilliant job playing both versions of Pennywise for the sake of argument as well as comedy! Bravo, sir!
Props to Doug for what must've been a pain in the ass to edit properly
In the book, the town was literally infected with hate which either was responsible for or created by It. It's worth a read, pretty great story
Also he scares them to increase fear, which is what he feeds on
Created by IT.
Yes. He says it’s akin to “ salting the meat”
The original IT review is one of my all time favourite NC videos ever. It's so good, and I'm super psyched to watch them all again!
The Michael Bay scene is still one of my favorite jokes from this series 😂
"Let's see what the book says..."
It says Stephen King shoulda been on a watchlist. Maybe several.
Yeah, I felt the same way when I saw that.
What actually happens at the end with the girl that they didn't mention?
@@s3s_ they all ---- the girl in a sewer... it's gross. Don't make me fill in the blank.
@@s3s_ She has sex with each of them while the others watch. Don't ask me why.
@@s3s_ Okay IDK how old you are but let me just say, 18+ group activities together..at there current age.
So I just had to point this out. With the first movie Nostalgia Critic points out that Mike starts calling the old crew after the 6th kid is killed. Question! Why did it take 6 kids to figure out Pennywise is back?
Well, kids get murdered by demons and eaten all the time! If you're in New Jersey.... (the reason "It" wasn't set in NJ is that it would make the story TOO CLOSE TO REALITY!!!) D:
In Mike's defense, just because a kid or two goes missing or dies wouldn't necessarily indicate Pennywise was back; him and the cop talk about how it could "be a rash of runaways, kids get itchy feet". While that is wrong in context, the cop has a point. Kids go missing all the time, even in a small town, so raising the alarm without actual proof (remember that Pennywise left that photo of Georgie behind at the latest scene to show Mike he had returned) wouldn't do anything but dredge up bad memories for his friends and would make Mike feel bad for it. Also it's most likely that Mike never saw all of the bodies, he's a librarian not a cop, so even with the body count, Mike wouldn't have been able to determine WHAT killed the kids until the little girl at the start of the movie.
It could also be that Mike didn't want to believe Pennywise had returned at first, logically after the first couple kids go missing or turn up dead he should have suspected as such; but Mike probably was in some level of denial. Would you want to confront an eldritch demon that takes the form of your fears, can warp reality like a child playing with an etch-a-sketch, and has proven tough enough to survive getting his head cracked open like an egg?
I still don’t know what he means by “I love the way we’re represented in the animated killing joke”
There was a gay character in the movie with very unsubtle lines
Because in both films, there's stereotypical gay guys with little to no personality except that he's fruity. Nothing else
I've been watching this for years and just now realized they used MJFs intro music for the dancing clown scene 😅
Meme Me!!
Has anyone else every realized that Pennywise is a "Killer Klown From Outer Space"?
;]
Never occured to me and I love Killer Klowns. 😂
I was now years old when I learned this.
Happy mothers day. I think out of Bill Scarskard and Tim Curry. Tim Curry is the funny version of Pennywise.
WA HA WA HA WA HA!!!
@kdusel1991 Excusme sir. Do you have Prince Albert in a can? You do? Well you better let the poor guy out! Excusme mam is your refrigerator running? It is? Well you better catch it before it gets away!
On the subbject of bev getting around, in the origonal story by steven king they had to run a train on her to banish it. AND THEY DID IT TO HER WHEN SHE WAS A KID TO POWER UP! it was basically banish him with the power of love. SO yea shes been through the hole group.
OH WHAT A GOOD DAY TO RELESE ONE OF THE MOST IF NOT THE MOST NOSTALGIC VIDEOS IVE SEEN IN THIS CHANNLE LES GOOOOOOOO
I once read that to know a person you only need to ask them which role do you remember Tim Curry for. This movie is IT for me.
For me, it was The Wild Thornberry's
Your IT (2017) review is my all time favourite review from you. Keep up the good work!
"Im just a Sweet Trans-vestite"
From transexual Transalvania huh huh
1:14:31 - To this day, I still belly laugh at the delivery of “You didn’t did you?” And then the insanity of the two Pennywise variants arguing
More than 1 hour of IT goodness?! YES PLEASE!. The 2017 one is my favorite
14:03-14:20 Close The Book On Him 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
54:04 Meme Me!!!!
55:44 Oh Hi Mark

It was thanks to your reviews of these movies that it got me and not only into the films but in the Stephen King and I want to thank you for that and wish you a happy mother's Day ❤️
The OG IT review was the first video I saw of the Nostalgia Critic
It's a true classic! I try to watch it at least once for nostalgiaween!
Excuse me ma'am is your refrigerator running, well you better catch it before it runs away WAHAWAHAWAHAWAHAWAHA
it peaked with tim curry
i know hes got health problems but id be fine with an elderly pennywise chasing kids around on a wheelchair
Only very recently did I learn that the hand-holding circle was A lot more "intense" in the book
A good way to celebrate mothers Day, relaxing in a hot tub and watching NC.
Can't believe i was in 9th grade when you uploaded the 2019 IT movie review 😭 time really is humbling
Doug really works as a Tim Curry Pennywise stand in. He nails the faces.
Your Tim Curry impression is on point.
Would you consider doing Transylvanian Transvestite dressed as Pennywise?
Maybe recreate any music video from songs featured in the new movie while dressed as Dr. Frankenfurter?
This is the review that started it all for me.
The Pennywises should have their own series
Even after all these years the review of the original IT is still my fave episode.
Personally I always thought the “they all float” was the corpses floating in the sewer water. Bodies rotting in states of decay and consumption. Just… bloated and bobbing in the foul water
I didn’t actually watch this video I just clicked on it to give it views
I remember going to the live viewing of the IT pt1 remake with my wife at Hollywood Blvd. My wife and son went to IT pt2 live viewing. It's such a fun time.
I never realized till now that during the Meme me gag it is MJF’s theme. 54:03
HES BETTER THAN YOU AND YOU KNOW IT!
Pennywise doesn’t immediately eat them because fear makes them taste better to him.
Also the plot demands they live until Part 2 where Stan and Eddie die.
The original has its flaws and limitations, but I still think it was well done in the end. Tim Curry was incredible. Funny, and terrifying in equal measure. The way he was able to flick a switch and become the monster was amazing. Secondly, the music was amazing. The calliope was an inspired choice. It truly added an haunting atmosphere. Admittedly, I have not seen the remake, but for 1990 tv, It was very good.
So, now you finally know what we knew all the time - the original It of 90 was and still is the best!❤🎉😊
Being from Colorado I’m not sure how I feel about the whole “shooting up a theater” joke
IT sounds like Pac Man dying at 42:53
22:13 I looked to his deadlights...
*Boing SFX*
You looked to his deadlights?
*Ta-Dah Music*
I looked to his deadlights!
*Rooster Wake-up call SFX*
I always wondered what the elephant after John Brandis was mentioned was for. After a cursory study I haven't seen anything linking his role in the miniseries connecting to anything really significant, so I'm a little confused.
Same.
watch neverending story review
@circuscharlie54 Y'know, I completely forgot that it got answered in that review. But yeah. Go figure it was the suicide. Was kinda hoping it was something else though.
I always rewatch this episode. And I absolutely lose it when the IT guy says “You want to see Officer Hopps die!”
Was just re watching these for a bit of nostalgia …… ( no pun intended )
yes i first watched your IT review and it got me into the channel!
Makes me wonder why we watched the original in 7th grade and had to write a essay, weird now that I think about it lol.
Old NC videos are WAAAYYYYY! better than current NC videos.
I love how this is just Doug Walker arguing with himself and himself
The book explains Henry’s and Patrick’s behavior and it’s an interesting contrast in learned vs in-born behavior. Henry was raised by an abusive-neglectful alcoholic father who has ptsd from the Vietnam War. Patrick was born a solipsistic psychopath, he believes he is the only real person.
You can really tell the difference between old and new nostalgia critic videos. I would to see more reviews like the old ones one day.
Also, there is another film for NC to do for Stephen King time: 1983’s The Dead Zone starring Christopher Walken and Martin Sheen
Notice how the first Pennywise looks a lot like Bozo the clown?
dennis christopher being andy is KILLING ME
IT is is an outstanding example of a movie which terrified me to my soul when I was very little. I recalled it as being the scariest movie ever, until I watched it as an adult and couldnt believe how campy and ridiculous it was. All of the fear I had was completely unjustifiable.
I literally just got done watching all these reviews by search a full week before this was uploaded. I could have saved myself some typing 😂
IT grad, Nostalgia CrITic, 90s IT, and IT (2017), followed by a surprise personalITy - Almost Got IT
Pennywise: Hiya Georgie
Georgie: Why does your forehead look so big
This was a nice treat! Happy mother's day guys!!!
Would you consider doing a eulogy tribute video for Roger Corman? R.I.P.
This IT review is another one i like. Very fun!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Lol, I've watched this filmed like 10 times and I've never noticed the sunny/rainy day 😅
The first half of the mini series is very good, the second half lost its focus. Chapter 1 was the Transformers of horror flicks. Interestingly nobody cashed in on that formula. Chapter 2 again was not very good, but not as bad as the second one from the mini series.
*WA-HA! WA-HA! WA-HA!*
I have a feeling this isn't Halloween
Dude I loved Tim curry as it didn't like the new one and can i say for a 7 yr old who watched this back in 98 I loved this movie I didn't get scared I just watched till I fell asleep. The spaceballs monolog was perfect. In the names of evolution the movie lots and lots of napam to the spider
Hey Critic, watch the awful Indian remake of it called "woh". Love to see you review it.
I miss Doctor Smith and his legion of Spiderzzzz.
Old Nostalgia Critic was so much funnier to be honest, and the old It review is one of my favorites.
I always thought the fact that they say that balloons float to be very silly. Kind of like "who doesn't know that balloons float?" That was until I actually read the book and saw that that conversation is actually in the book. Then I thought it was hilarious.
But not all balloons float
42:53 i went back and watched the you float too scene in it and the running scene is so funny to me
Don't forget the shots for his 'female suffering sexual trauma/weird about female sexuality' thing🥃.
I love the new movies, and they actually have creepy moments, unlike the original. But the ending really annoys me. Like he introduced himself as a clown, and called himself a clown for the entirety of the 2 movies. So how tf does calling him a clown defeat him?!
And man, I forgot how bad and corny the original was.
These are one of my favorite videos you guys did !
The world needs ghostbusters vs It
I wish he did a proper review to the 2 modern movies 😅
I laughed so hard when they insulted the monster to death I was like… wait really? It was that easy?
This has been one of your funniest commentaries
The Old IT is in every aspect better than the new one. ok the effects are better in the new one but all of the rest, the old movie rules! specially the old henry bowers kid actor is awesome! the new one is a screaming idiot.
First time actually playing the Stephen King Drinking Game. I've watched these videos a million times but this time I'm going for it. Wish me luck, guys...
21:51 European Swallow!
*Mummy Scream and flees*
Stephen King is a great writer, his books and characters are beloved by billions of people. Picking on him is just low hanging fruit and I believe that his characters are much more complex given the complexity of the person reading it. Why can't people do reviews without attacking Mr. King personally? He has earned the right to say and do what he wants.
Either he's a great writer in which case he's not low hanging fruit or he is a crappy writer in which case he is low hanging fruit. Either way it doesn't change the fact that when you put yourself and your works out there people have every right to attack your work it yourself.
I miss doug walker looking like that.
Are we gonna ignore that Critic predicted the red balloon being scary
The Joker vs Pennywise Rap Battle from History was awesome!
What!?! The IT remake review are just skits!? Fuk, that sucks.
This is a mother classic. My mom loves giant shape shifting spiders! 😍
Hey Doug, do they float?
We all float!!!
I have this one streaming service that is supposed to get everything. I used it to look up the original, but unfortunately it’s saved as a movie and only the later half so the only part I’ve actually seen is the part he hates.
7:32 I think he only said that just to be rich
Well aCtUaLlY, Mr Critic. I hate to correct you. But there is more then 1 indication that the adults don't care about the kids in the 2017 version. At the beginning of the movie. When Georgie is looking down in the sewer talking to Pennywise. An old lady notices, Georgie but just kinda shrugs it off. Then when, Pennywise kills Georgie the old lady looks back at the road and notices Georgies blood on the street. But she just turns around and does nothing. So that little issue you have with the film has been debunked!
Happy Father's day
Ah, the review that was so amazing, they showed it in theaters.
another thing the 2017 version had that the original didn't was Pennywise dancing, I mean his full title is Pennywise The Dancing Clown and not once in the original does he dance, even though it's fucking hilarious in this, he's dancing for once, fulfilling his title
