So far the Cares Act has been signed into law by President Trump, the House of Representatives and the Senate. Congress proposed the stimulus checks and stimulus packages in March.
We are now waiting on the Hero’s Act to pass so we will know whether stimulus money will be paid to the American people. We are waiting to see if essential workers will be paid hero’s pay or essential workers pay. I don't know about other states but in my state we pay high school taxes included in our property tax.

@Prepper Man I'm not talking about a pandemic specific issue for a start. The ruling class is out of touch with their constituents. Personally I don't think a Congressperson should be paid more than the median pay for their district.
As far as your "sick burn" about planning, I've planned well enough that I don't have kids to take care of during this. I am thankful bc it means I'm only dealing with issues regarding myself and my husband. Thankfully, we have both maintained full time work UNINTERRUPTED during this. We are lucky. But I have eyes. I see what my friends, family, and neighbors are going through. I see what having a government turning its back on the people has done to my community. The people need help, communities need help. So please, be kind to that high horse you came in here riding and GET OFF IT. You are no better than anyone else and are probably worse than most.
It's going to ba a very sad Christmas for most people. Even "IF" they pass a bill it will be too late.

@@carlhall1880 Thank you Carl. I was thinking more for other Families with younger children. I lost my unemployment about 2 months ago. I am working now as a temp. But its something. I am fortunate enough to be just my husband and I. We understand it wont be as lavish as usual. He is still not back to work after having covid and being on a ventilator for almost a month. Covid damaged his heart and he is awaiting surgery on his heart. Dated for Dec 21st. That's if it isn't cancelled due to the influx of covid patients.

We need unemployment help. My job of 15 years that I loved is still “waiting” for me when business picks up enough to bring me back... so now that unemployment ends this month I have to get a different job by no choice of my own. Something has to give. Congress is killing this country
I'm a single father and once unemployment ends we will have no income at all...there are no jobs that pay enough to live
