I run the 29.5 grain slugs around the house in a magazine and 55.5 grain slugs on a different tune singe fed. 2100psi for 29.5 and 2500 to 2700psi for 55.5 grain.
i have a Hatsan AT44 in .25 here in the uk, i have a FAC version (firearms licence required) out of the box the rifle was 68ftlb ! i must of shot 25-30 different types of pellets from 50-100 yards, what i found over months of playing with various pellets and rifle settings was as i lowered the power of the rifle the more accurate the the groups became, i shot 10 pellet groups and refilled the tank after every 10 shots, i finally got my 50 yard groups to single hole 10 shot groups and at 100 yards less than 1 moa and the pellet that won out as most accurate was the H&N Extreme ! try playing with rifle power settings and watch your groups change...
thank you .......ive had my avenger .25 cal for 2 months now and i LOVE MINE! (added harmonic barrel dampeners, donny fl and a 30 cal moderator) I've had luck with the H&N BARRACUDAS, the BARRACUDA HUNTERS AND....... i think the best pellet for this gun is the JSB KING EXACT 25s (25.39 grain) my reg is set to about 2300 and my hammer about 2.5 to 2.75 turns IN from backed all the way out. I couldnt ask for more out of a $300 gun besides maybe a thicker, more solid sounding stock but im not crying about that much. Keep the vids rollin!
on m,y 177 pellet rifle I can drill tacks with the ammunition it likes best and then I will have one or two that goes yonder. I found that I was putting the pellet into the chamber crooked. When I started being real careful to make sure they were going in straight I started getting reliable groups
Very good shooting WHW. I did a little research and saw a video and the avenger likes two different pellets. It likes the jsb kings 25.39 grain and the jsb match diabolo exact king heavy mkll 33.95 grain. One hole groups at 50 measuring a half inch. I shoot them both and they are great. The guy I saw had some time with the rifle and tuned the hammer spring tension heavier for the 33.95 and lighter tension with the 25.39 and was shooting multiple groups with a diameter of a half inch One hole.I Was definitely amazed. It's all in the tuning of the hammer spring and the pellet your rifle likes best. You'll get it dialed in. Just a little fine tuning. Generally heavier is better and packs and carries alot more foot pounds of energy down range. The lighter pellets are good for close range.

Pretty nice groups I think chrono and gel test would be fun you need to know if those slugs will expand also do you think a paper plate test would be safe
All those H and N and you left out barracuda green 18 grain alloy 25 cal. I like them. They get down range fast, accurate and effectively. They handle business.
Some great groups. I have a Benjamin Marauder .25cal. The best results I had were the JSB Match Diabolo Exact King 25.39. Pretty much all pellets in the same hole. Great for plinking. Next best, still pretty much all in the same hole was the H&N Barracuda Hunter 27.47gr. I used those for critter control a lot. A friend told me about Nielson Specialty Ammo and I got a sample pack of their slugs. The 36.2nd shot amazingly well and after I tuned the rifle for more power but less shots I was pushing them at a hair over 900fps. Small Critters didn’t stand a chance. Maybe some more options for you to test out looking for the best option.
@@bobjones7568 I might not be remembering correctly, but I’m pretty sure it was slinging the Nielsen Specialty slugs at over 900fps. It’s been a while since I shot it over a chrono(or shot it in general). I was getting close to 15 shots per fill with the lighter tune and the JSB Match Diabolo pellets. With the heavy tune and the slugs I was getting about 8 shots before I saw them start to drop off. So it’s putting out A LOT more air on those. When I get back stateside I will have to pull it out and do some shooting. I have forgot how fun the air rifles are.
If u have any hogs up there I’d love to see u give some headache medicine with the avenger or the dragon claw I’m super impressed on the groups this rifle if producing keep it coming brother
The reg is only for setting the air limit for time to fill. The hammer spring is to speed up the rifle for heavy pellets and slugs or turn it down for light weight projectiles. I used to shoot H&N 22.07 grain hornet pellets from my Hatsan 135 QE vortex .25 caliber break barrel air rifle but I found that my rifle shoots the H&N 30.86 grain baracuda pellets more accurately than the hornets and the baracudas penetrate way more than the hornets. The baracudas have a nice round nosed domed head and the fit very snugly in the breech and that tightness improves accuracy and the domed round nosed head and heavier weight improves penetration

some guys never clean them .....they say it shoots better "seasoned" ....... i clean mine a couple times a year but then have to shoot a dozen or so shots to "re-lead" (season) the barrel.
Has anybody ever tried to use the 36gr 25 caliber pellets for reloading the 25acp?
You can't use firearm thinking with air guns.
The gun needs to be tuned and sighted for each type of ammo.
Do ya have to cool the barrel after putting all that hot air in it ?🤣
😆😆😆
Awesome rifle and video. I have the same One with the Woodstock. I get my best groups with the FX hybrids Running at 940 fps. I haven’t tried those H&N slugs i’m gonna have to try them. I know everyone’s giving you advice but run them slugs 900+ feet per second and the groups should shrink.
H&N grizzly
I have a headache 🤕
