My husband and I are from Iowa in the United States. We’ve lived here (with our 2 daughters) for 6 years and are very happy here. I am grateful to teach for Qatar Foundation (at Awsaj Academy). What a wonderful place to live and work! ❤️
Hi Sara I’m from North Dakota but original from Turkey 🇹🇷 If you are US citizens if you open business Do you need to Arabic sponsor ? Or how was Qatar people for American people?
Hello, I am from a very small town about an hour north of Seattle, WA in the Pacific Northwest (an hour north and you are in Canada). I have only been in Qatar for one week of what will be a four year assignment and your videos are really helpful and informative not to mention humorous. My wife and kids are still back home but will be joining in the new year so I have directed them to your videos and now when I call home we often share the different things caught out attention. Thank you for providing something that is entertaining and fun but also really helpful.
I'm from Alabama and I've been to Qatar 5 times in the past 6 years. I have a strange curiosity about the place and love watching random videos about Qatar when i'm bored lol, I don't know why.
I started watching your channel about 1 month before my assignment in Doha. I learned allot about the Qatari culture before I even landed thanks to Q-tips. I still continue to watch the channel as it helps me adapt and understand how I can fit in. I have now been in Qatar for a month. I have felt very welcomed here and I enjoy the local culture. I don’t think this would have been possible if I arrived unknowingly. I will be in Qatar for 4+ years. Q-tips is my guide. More videos on setting up a life in Qatar would help. Such as the document attestation process. As this has been a challenge with not much resources to understand. Also the housing areas, and fluctuation of leases and rental rates when large events are coming (World Cup). And a video on the construction in West Bay. My goodness this is a full on construction hub nightmare. When will it end? Oh and that Texas Barbecue place in the Pearl is totally authentic. Being a Texas pit master myself, these guys know how to crank out some brisket. Highly recommended. Too bad I forgot the name.
This channel's great. I'm working on a video project based in Qatar, but I live in the USA. I'm learning more about the Qatari culture to help as I write the script. Your Q-tips are great! Seems like the Qatari people are cool cats too! Thumbs up!
I'm from the US Virgin Islands! We are a territory of the US, but we have a unique culture that is a mosaic of Indigenous, African, European, South Asian and Chinese. A good number of the Africans that were taken from their homeland and placed in bondage in the Virgin Islands by the Danes were Muslims! So Islam has been in the Virgin Islands for a very long time, Alhamdulillah. I think of my ancestors making du'a hoping that their descendants would be Muslim. I am grateful to Allah that Islam still continues on our island. I love living in Qatar and enjoy the Corninche and the array of museums.
Salam aleikum from an American (Virginia) in Taiwan. Man, you must have been in the U.S. for a long time. You've got those accents down pretty well. I've just discovered your channel. It'd be interesting to hear you do different Arabic accents. Of course, I wouldn't understand a thing you said since I don't speak the language. Still, it'd be interesting to learn which areas Arabic speakers think speak the most (and least) "preferred" Arabic. I used to have a friend from Perth, Australia whom I could barely understand if we were talking on the phone. No problem with Australians from other areas. I wonder if Arabic speakers from different areas might have the same problem.
Am a Kenyan who has experience in both countries but whatever u said is more expensive in qatar is not true, housing factors in newyork is almost 3times more expensive than in doha, but in other small town is cheap, all in all new cars are cheaper in Qatar&u literally find range rovers dumped in qatar&dogs sleeping in them, its easier to save money when employed in Qatar than in the US, in the US u work like an ox, three jobs a day but u can't make ends meet but in Qatar free housing, transportation, food, all your money u save it, except for the heat&luck of real entertainment qatar is far much better to help u raise your standards than in the US
Howdy from Texas. My daughter is working for Texas A&M Qatar. We have been to visit and are so impressed with the beauty of Doha, the museums, and the wonderful people there from all over the world. Love your videos.
Your American English is perfect… how is that? Did you study there? Thank you for these informative videos. They are amazing! There is so much to learn and they are done in way that we want to see all of them.
Salam from New Orleans and Los Angeles. Thank you for another wonderful video filled with humor and knowledge. I hope, inshallah, that I may visit your country soon, but I...wait...Red Lobster there?! Haha
I haven't meet any Americans here. We are from Texas . My 17 year old daughter is having a very difficult time finding friends . She is home schooled so that has something to do with it. She is so lonely. I so wished she could meet some friends here would make it alot easier 😕
Born & raised in Texas but adult years have been in Massachusetts (2 different worlds!). Discovered you while surfing. Well, you certainly caught me by surprise with your great humor while enlightening your viewers. Thanks for letting me know what's going on under your thobe. I was dying to know & found myself laughing out loud all by myself😂. You & your team are fantastic. Gotta pack my bags & head on out to Qatar!
Hello... I was born and raised in sunny California... but I live here in beautiful Qatar. FYI You forgot about Fatburger and Mooyah burger, subway, TGIF and SO MANY MORE... OH yeah!!!! and the NEW Bubba Gump Shrimp Company Restaurant.
Hi! What kind of treats would you suggest an American send to someone living in Qatar? What is available in America that you can’t find in Qatar like snacks, candy, treats, etc that can be put in a box? Thanks!
I may get to visit Qatar soon. I will however NOT be looking for American food. How about a little info on the LOCAL cuisine. Also a little language tutorial so we will know "Please" and "thankyou".
No, although Bahrain still has restrictions on Qatar (still no flights and we still need to apply for visa to visit), also on their site they still dont have Qatar as a GCC country (which is against GCC treaty)
Rambo with farm equipment. Nice. Unfortunately we weren't allowed off-base in 2009 to visit Doha, but I was able to visit a few of your neighbors. I love gardening here in Maryland and enjoy watching videos of people farming/gardening in climates very different than mine, so I stumbled on a few highlighting Qatar's recent successes in increasing food production.
Ahlan, Ahlan! That was one of the many things I liked about Qatar as well as the UAE, what you see is what you pay. Even if they do have a sales tax I wish other countries (the US) would do that. You would still be paying tax you just wouldn't feel it, no reason to rub it in so to speak.
ok the dude has got to be an American. his accent is perfect. he has NO Qatari accent at all. and it seems the middle eastern accent is harder to hide than a southern accent (from American south) but i want to know what are the gun laws in Qatar? are you allowed to have personal weapons for self defense? or do you have some made up b.s. like in the u.k. where you can ONLY possess a firearm if you are hunting and cant keep it in your home? whats the gun laws. im really curious. it seems that Qatar is much more civilized than alot of the other middle eastern countries. also it seems to be much more "Americanized", is there something to that?
5 months no one answered 😂 for guns it's very hard to even for qatari to get a license and even if they have u have to keep it at home, other stuff and knifes u don't need 🤔 here it's rare to see people really fight like even just screaming

They want to raise the minimum wage to $15.00 an hour and I'm right at $15.56, so alot of new hires will be passing me up in the future
