I love the idea of a weeks for house decluttering. I’m also thinking things like deep cleaning, paper purging, phone apps and photo clean up, photo organizing, email in box clean up and all of those jobs that I want to complete but I haven’t ever build out a plan and system for it. I love your idea of setting a timer to get after it. When the timer ends I could keep going or just have that “permission” to stop so I don’t have to fear sliding down a rabbit hole and forget everything else I need to do in the day.
Those are all great specific ideas that I’m going to write down. And just “15 minutes” of doing email clean up, for instance. Even if it’s just 15 minutes a day, it’s more than I’m doing now! Thanks for those. Keep ‘em coming too. I really hope I stick to it. I have way too much shit 😂
I love your videos!! Fairly new to your channel and you are now my favorite 😊 Such an inspiration to me - especially journaling. You have so much positive energy. Great ideas.
😂😂😂 I was having a hard time deciding what sketch to use and I can’t tell you how often I film with a cup of tea or something and it goes stone cold while I jabber away. Or just in general. It’s a travesty. 😅
@sherbidabbles I believe it! I have 2 young kids, so I've left out many cups of coffees/teas to go cold, or reheated in the microwave to be forgotten about.
@jaquelinemythril2602 When I was a stay at home mom, I could have been a Dunkin’ - if it were legal to sell cold old coffee. 🤣 (My son dunked two devices in my coffees as if they were donuts - on two different occasions. Good times.)
🥹 Thank you! The real MVPs. I love people. ❤️ (immediately going to go see it in my cousin). I knew I must have! It was such a nice thing for us! And thank you for saying you liked it. I appreciate that and am glad you did.
Love this video …. Ugh can’t pull the trigger on switching to a rings next year but maybe I can use my hobonichi for “something else” 😊 thanks for the inspiration!
Enjoying your video, I am going to look into rings too. I also had the same reaction to uncut gems. Movie was done well, and for me to have such a reaction to the characters that I wanted to stop watching it but couldn’t. It was hard to get through for me.
It was hard to get through!! I kept telling my son if he wasn’t with me, I’d just read a synopsis. It was intense. I have a Happy Planner order coming - it will be interesting to see how I use it.
Going down a whole ‘nother rabbit hole here, but have you thought about giving rings a try for the functional side of your planning? I used to think rings people were a different breed, and a bunch of odd balls. That is until my curiosity got the better of me and I bought a beautiful leather used one from mercari, just to try it out. Oh my days, my scatter brained self felt like it had finally found something functional that works for me. I can add, remove, move around, as many categories and tabs as I want. Printing and laminating cute dashboards is fun too. My hobonichi cousin is still my memory journal and my “what I did today” memory lane book. In there I put all my cute stickers, washi, and ephemera to enjoy when I look back at it, but all my day to day and planning months in advance, goes under a tab in my rings. I also don’t get bothered by throwing away pages from the rings. My rings planner is an always evolving thing and I’m loving it. And as always, LOVE your videos! I’d love to see another one of your lettering videos, maybe with some basic doodles for dummies thrown in ❤
So…. There was a time when I desperately wanted to try a rings system. I believe the one I drooled over was ARC. I eventually got a little one but it broke my heart when I realized it made me feel chaotic. My life was also chaotic so that didn’t help. Ha! The rings were always in my way so my eventual solution was a traveler’s notebook. And I LOVED it. I still love it. I plan to show my TN sometime. I just kept switching notebooks out depending on what I was doing at any given time. Obviously couldn’t swap out individual pages, but similar to what you’re describing, just swapping whole “sections” (books). Someday I may revisit rings. Happy Planner is the closest. I ordered two and they’ll be coming shortly. One is undated to use inspirationally when it suits - maybe for work mostly - and the other will be the household shared planner so we all know what’s up with each other. I’m excited to give them a try. Have you tried a Happy Planner??
Oh! And I haven’t forgotten about the doodles. I still have the one video I made that I eventually decided was NOT helpful. I will revisit and see if I still feel the same way and if so, make a concerted effort to get a new one filmed. I remember this request! Thank you for reminding me. ❤️
