I'm neither fond of the Congress, nor the BJP. I personally feel that both of them overlook the middle class. However, Sashi Tharoor has nailed the govt. where it hurts. BJP is definitely not coming back next time.

Go to any European country where budgets are better allocated than ours and you will find more critics of the government than the number of bootlickers here. Everything that Tharoor and other opposition MPs have said can be worked in to future budgets if the Government were not butthurt about all criticism. And it is perfectly on point for us to "eulogize" individuals who speak for the masses because that is exactly what we elect our MPs for i.e. people who can take the common man's grievances and present it to the people in power. 7-10 Lakhs - 5% Tax
10-15 Lakhs - 10% Tax
15-20 Lakhs - 15% Tax
Above 20 Lakhs - 20% Tax
Any Premium & Luxury Purchases should be Taxed more than the Basic Needs & Amenities of a Common Man.

Not to mention that within the city, cars are stuck in traffic more often (consisting mostly of cars) than they are actually moving. They take up a lot of space on the road while moving or parked. Cars are so inefficient, an utter and unnecessary waste.

True! This is a very pressing issue. The stark difference of wealth between the rich and poor is very obvious, it is getting worse. The salaries of the rich are skyrocketing whereas the poor has to keep up with the prices suited for the wealthy. Where in the country can the poor afford the basic amenities, such as food and housing anymore?
Why we have many languages in Parliament to create confusions ? Make English as the official language of Parliament. It's already the official language of High courts and Supreme court.

So when we need one official language to avoid all confusion, it shall be English. Hindi speaking people should put some effort in learning English. Excellent point regarding health insurance. Govt. could've made it affordable by reducing GST on insurance premiums (which is ridiculous to begin with, I mean if you're willing to let go of crores of rupees' agricultural income from the so called farmers why not give little respite to ordinary citizens who are taking care of their own healthcare needs) Govt.could've increased tax exemption limits under 80D but to expect these things from this govt is like expecting a hungry dog to let go of a piece of meat. Shameful Budget. Shameful Govt.

Classism in India today is way worse like he said, i dont think anyone would disagree. Back then there were a less than one percent elites and every one else (99%) were pretty much in the same boat. Now we have terms like Tier1, Tier2 and Tier3 India. Where the Tier 3 people are above 50% and in abject poverty by any standard in the world. Like sub-saharan conditions. And the top 10% objectively well off by any standard in the world. Like Beverley hills rich.
