Honestly, this is one of those times where the client looked better before. Yeah, his receding hairline was noticeable, but the haircut he had looked great, he just needed to clean up the sides a bit. Sometimes it’s better to own the receding hairline with a nice cut than to try to hide it with a style that makes it obvious you’re trying to hide it. It ends up doing the opposite.
Disagree, doesn't look like he's hiding anything afterwards and looks his own age. Whereas prior he looked like he was trying to look 40+. Prior he was highlighting his hairloss, whereas after he wasn't hiding it, just working with it.
I started a hair regrowth program June 2024 - had my doctor write two prescriptions for 2.5 mg of Oral Minoxidil once a day and 1 mg of Finasteride once a day -- my hair was thinning in the crown area and thinning in my front hairline - WELL - i stayed with it, i was PATIENT and now at the 7th month mark I could not be happier with the results - it really really works - side effects were a little weight gain at first but that stopped and some hair shedding within the first month but that then stopped too - only side effect now is less semen output but i can live with that, libido not effected and my hair looks way healthier and thicker. Just thought I would share this with you guys. Good luck to one and all!
potential side effects are the only reason I'm not already taking finasteride but less semen output is enough to steer me clear for now. Surely that cannot be a good thing
@@marlostanfield1087 Yes a bit of bloating - i do work out 4 days a week, 40 minutes cardio 30 minutes weight training - i eat vegetarian monday to friday to keep my weight down and eat meat and some crap on weekends - so the weight gain stopped and i lost it - i mention this because it helps offset the bloating - less bloating with finasteride then with dutasteride more bloating with that med - as i said the oral minoxidil and finasteride together works -
I agree I thought that looked better, maybe trimmed the back a bit more, the new haircut reminds me of the 90s ghetto haircut, at least here in the states. Maybe that's making a comeback not sure, but when he goes swimming or the wind blows hard the hair in the front will blow back exposing the receding hairline.
Dan is a legend worth every penny as it's not cheap. I have this egg nest and it it very prominent....I'd try go to barber that does exactly what I ask as others just do what they want

I'm 59, and have been concerned of losing my hair since I was your age. Fast forward to December 2023. My hair has thinned out for sure, but at 58, it really started to fall out noticeably, especially on the top and front. So unhappy, as haircuts no longer worked and there was no style to hide the loss. I went to a dermatologist because of it and based on what I learned from Dan, I asked to go on finasteride and minoxidil. She put me on prescribed finasteride and suggested I buy topical minoxidil. So fast forward now to January 2025. The finasteride stopped the hair from falling out and the minoxidil grew hair back to where I feel better about my appearance. I don't look like I have thinning hair. I didn't tell anyone I've done this until one of my friends and 2 coworkers commented that my hair looks different. I don't have masive thick hair but enough to no longer look thinning. Honestly, I'm still on finasteride and minoxidil and my only side effect has been an occasional itchy scalp. I'm lucky this has worked for me at this late age. I have no issues downstairs, and from research I've done, that side effect is low. At your age, you could really benefit from the meds while your hair folicles haven't died off yet. I know it's a big decision, and it's only hair, but you have nothing to lose and a lot to gain. He looks like Brett Goldstein. I used to have an undercut and I decided to go to a local barber to get it shaved rather than my usual salon. I figured a head is a head. I don’t know if my being a woman made him uncomfortable, i did say if he didn’t want to do it that was fine but he said ok but it took forever and I had the worst rash for a long time. Maybe he didn’t use the same products on me. If a woman came in for an undercut would you do exactly the same as you would for a man?
Hair loss, mix a table spoon of pure organic rosemary oil and castor oil, massage on scalp with fingertips, lightly coat hair, leave for an hour and wash with sulphate free shampoo, and you'll notice a huge difference in 3 months. Forget all those expensive chemical concoctions, that the minute you stop using, any results you gained will regress, fast.
I know I say this just about every time, but I really did like his hair far better pushed back. Why does everyone these days want to look like they're fifteen or something. Get real guys.

Be careful with topicals. They are toxic to animals. Please research before going that route. The hairstyle is almost exactly what he showed you in the picture. But I would have liked to have seen it graduated down to the ears but not quite so close to the skin as it is. Would have liked to see more of the beautiful wavy texture he had before in the back. He does look younger and Dan's work is always so good and he is very knowledgeable at what he does. A joy to watch.
I have a cowlick, went down to a 4 on top and it was still sticking up. Have to grow it before it will lay down. But I'm told the short look works well.

He's not pushing it but he is rightly pointing out that there's nothing to worry about. This drug is one of the most widely used drugs in the world and is also unnecessarily demonised and scapegoated with all the fear mongering surrounding it, it's extremely safe and needs to be treated as such.
