Hi Night flyer! Buddy i have a mess. I've recently put another SR together, with a Super Tigre G34H. My question to you or any of your friends... The carb was a real mess. When i disassembled it, the idle needle was stuck in the spray bar!!! Now, if i turn the idle screw all the way in, should it cut off the fuel completely? I'm thinking it should, and if i remember, it should bottom out and come back the quarter turn. Thanks again buddy, and good flying!!
Thanks brother, I had soaked the carb, but the idle mixture needle had actually stuck inside the spray tube, and left the adjustment screw inside the outer housing. I can repair the needle assembly by tapping the needle gently back into the base of the screw, so if it's correct in saying that if I bottomed out that screw with the carburetor barrel all the way shut, I should not be able to blow any air through the carburetor fuel inlet. It's either that, or find out the overall length of the needle assembly. LOL I could just buy one.

Of course it will be flown now and then but will keep it (and the others too) safe as much as I can, but I still don't know what to buy because all those new helicopters almost doesn't look like helicopters anymore. I consider myself as a "nitro guy" but it's being so difficult to buy fuel here in Brazil nowadays that I don't know if I'll not be switching to electrics. Best Regards!
@@PLISNO Yes, electrics are taking over. My favorite is the Nexus for nitro and Align t rex for electric. I can hover them perfectly inverted, so they make me look good. LOL. Thanks again.
Quit calling it vintage, the Concept 30 isn’t that old. You’re making me feel old. I remember those Gyros would eat batteries for breakfast and would be the limiting factor in flight times and I remember when solid state gyros came out that offered huge battery savings and all people did was complain about them.
Well, I won't stop calling good designs vintage. According to Websters, Vintage means well built or of a good lasting design, representing the high quality of a past time: not Old!
NightFlyyer ah, I was not aware of that. It is a fantastic design. As I get older I’m getting more and more sensitive to things that were awesome when I was younger only a few years back. I remember when your Kyosho tail rotorless helis first came out with glowing reviews from the RC magazines. It does not seem all that long ago.
NightFlyyer in that case I myself am working on two vintage helis myself such as a TRex 500e and an ESky Belt CP heli. It’s interesting that looking at the layout it does remind me a little of the old kyosho concept helis servo and bellcrank layout in a plastic or polymer frame.
Thanks. I have a bottle of vintage wine, that is only 10 years old to celebrate my Vintage Hyperfly. I flew it last year and made a video using a lipo instead. May fly it again soon. Be well.
Thanks Much.. Anything vintage, like wine only 10 years old, is a good thing. The Hyperfly was not for everybody, but I tried to make it for airplane fliers to get a taste of heli flying without having to learn to hover.
I use header tanks for years, but his helicopter has a soft inner clunk with very flexible surgical tubing and easily falls to the "top" of the tank when inverted. Not to worry. Thanks.
I used Pro 3D carbon blades on this one and Zeal 550 blades on a second one. Both had to be shortened at the tip to 21 inches and balanced, to prevent the blade from hitting the tail rotor. They work great, as you can see from the other videos I made. I also made these blades lighted on this heli. I have made several videos using this heli at night and daylight. Here was the first one. Enjoy and good luck. ruclips.net/video/5RuBi4rXTTc/видео.html
@@jamesdenton4943 They are exactly 3.5 inches long, end to end, (slightly tapered at 1 inch wide at root and 7/8"at tip) and symmetrical. Almost any tail rotor blade will work that size.

I did have a Raptor 50 in an MD530 fuse, it was beautiful, so beautiful that I ended been affraid of crashing it, so I sold it.
I did have a lot of helicopters like Hirobo Shuttle Z (I miss this one a lot!), Kalt Enforcer, Xcell's 30/46/60, Nexus 30 and 46, and TT Raptor 30/50/90.
The Xcell 30 and Nexus that I have are still in no flying condition, the Xcell will be probably fixed soon because it only need some attention after being grounded for about 10 years, but the Nexus need a few tail rotor parts that will be difficult to find.
The R90 is flying wonderfully but I am worried about parts shortage too and probably will be looking to retire it soon.

Concept 30 was first from Kyosho and SR (Sky Runner came later) Not sure what is so funny?
How can you fly a heli and roller skate man you got skills,,, Nice one
In those days it was faster to go get it after crashing far away. :-) Thank you!
The Hyperfly was not for everybody, but I tried to make it for airplane fliers to get a taste of heli flying without having to learn to hover.
good job but i have to say you're Really pushing you luck flying that concept inverted without a header tank
I use header tanks for years, but his helicopter has a soft inner clunk with very flexible surgical tubing and easily falls to the "top" of the tank when inverted. Not to worry. Thanks.
I'm in need of main blades anyone have any info ?
I used Pro 3D carbon blades on this one and Zeal 550 blades on a second one. Both had to be shortened at the tip to 21 inches and balanced, to prevent the blade from hitting the tail rotor. They work great, as you can see from the other videos I made. I also made these blades lighted on this heli. I have made several videos using this heli at night and daylight. Here was the first one. Enjoy and good luck. ruclips.net/video/5RuBi4rXTTc/видео.html
Thanks
@@NightFlyyer do you know what size the tail blades are ?
@@jamesdenton4943 They are exactly 3.5 inches long, end to end, (slightly tapered at 1 inch wide at root and 7/8"at tip) and symmetrical. Almost any tail rotor blade will work that size.
