The animation was a perfect example of "Limited Animation". What - back in the days of the 60s, Marvel did with it's short Captain America, Iron Man and Hulk short films. Basically comic panels strung together and holding your attention through limited frame movement but also just lingering exactly as long as needed on the gorgeous Jack Kirby (and others) art. Sure - this animation could've been done more detailed. It could've been more fluid. I could've had more frames per second. BUT - Like those old 10-15 minute shorts of the 60s, It did PRECISELY what it NEEDED to do. No more. No less. The choice of "camera" angles. The way the turn of Harvey's head was accomplished with a brief fade to black and then back again. The lighting. The character designs. A minimalist approach to be sure - likely out of lack of money. But even so - succeeding beautifully at what the artist wanted to accomplish!
