I just got the first 3 books of Red Rising. Just like you, I’m just finishing Malazan a want a new series. Can’t wait to start. Only thing that will be interesting is I believe Red Rising is first person? Haven’t really read like that before
Dude, you gotta review the Red Rising series as you continue on. I just started the first book and I'm liking it so far. But, I'm more so excited to move on to further into the series, as I've been told it is one of the best and brutal new Sci-Fi series.
I can’t decide between toll the hounds and the crippled god tbh. I hope you go through all the other series. Kharkanas especially if you liked toll the hounds could be up there with your favourite malazan books.
The instant you said that family related to this book I knew exactly what you were gonna talk about. The scream from her got me just as much and maybe even more than that line.
Toll the Hounds was one of my favorites! Top 3 for sure, I think. I know a lot of people dislike it but I enjoyed the philosophical side of things and Kruppe makes me laugh lol. I will definitely be working my way through the other series!
There's a book you may like it's called hearts in Atlantis. They made a movie out of it. Great movie one of my favorites with Anthony Hopkins.. Give it a shot, tell me what you think.

The first person of Red Rising is interesting, you get used to it after a bit.
