    with Mirabel gone Toronto Pearson did become the Centre hub of the Canadian air transportation and even more so with the completion of the new Union Pearson Express Train Service

      That airport was doomed to fail. The Trudeau government gave the right for europeen companies to lend directly at pearson. Montreal had that exclusive right. Air Canada boycotted Mirabel and they never transferred domestic flights from Dorval to Mirabel. They didn’t built highway 13 to Mirabel not they built that hight speed rail train. So Mirabel at it’s opening was already weakened 😵‍💫

    A lack of transit connections and demand that was never going to achieved thanks to a lack of messy local politics... I.e. Quebec revolution. Had either not been a major factor I think it would probably be the #1 airport in Canada today especially with long-haul flights but alas...
