Can hear RIck James playing git on up while the 55s doing the wobbles. Poor dude!!
7.30 is insane for that Impala Im impressed .Left super hard all 4 on the ground no drama. .Wow
67 442 👍🇺🇸
Happy memorial day Tom. That green impala is a beast! Great video.
Thanks buddy.
A car as big as the USS New Jersey that runs 7.30's and carries the front wheels thru the traps makes some huge power....
Happy Memorial day to you Tom
Thanks buddy!
🤣. Did the Nova driver pack his chutes in the dirt?! What a mess!
For sure, I was wondering the same thing.
There’s a story behind that chute deployment. It had been two years in the making. Vey special moment for the family.
@@Rsdredbaron I was wonder if possibly that was the reason, now i feel glad I captured the moment on film.
Thank You Tom as always
Thank you Phil, Happy Memorial Day!
Happy Memorial day, great cars and great video work. America!!!!!!!!!
Thank you!
why do they permit all of those people flood area so close to the cars staging ? sure destroys the view for the other people watching
& the green 56 he don't care pull the hoops while trunk & pass, door are open lol
I'd love to see a full review of this car, it's gorgeous! You don't normally think of a '67 Chevy as "sleek" but that's the perfect description for this car.
Thanks for watching and the great comment. I'm actually working on putting something together giving more detail on this car. Have a great weekend! Tom
Great to see an old friend behind the wheel, Bill.
Great turn out...some fast hot rods..enjoyed it!
Anyone know who owns the 67 impala?
Edwin "Eddie Big Block" Robles
@@codieoberg9441 thanks a lot man!🙏
It's been years since I've been to this track as I live closer to Rock Falls near Eau Claire. How insane is traffic in & out there these days for the larger events? Thinking I need to come catch a few weekends to include the Out-A-Sight Saturday show.......
Thanks for watching! I never have a problem getting in or out on the larger events, but I do get there early and leave when the sun goes down because I cannot film races as good then. So there is no traffic for me. That Out-A-Sight drags is unreal, you will have a really good time there.
I’m not sure that green Impala was pulling a wheelie at the stripe so much as the front end was getting light and catching some air after possibly hitting some bumps. That said I would definitely do something (front splitter or wicker) to keep air from getting under the car! Not being able to steer at ~180 mph is no bueno. BTW, a local guy to me (Central Valley, CA) has a gold ‘67 pro street car with a tunnel ram’d 632 that this race car reminds me a lot of.
Yep, for sure the tires were just getting some light under them. But in that previous video that looked like it could have been about 6 inches in height. And like you say at 180 mph things can get crazy fast. The driver was not aware he was doing that crossing the finish line until he saw my video.
Good assumption, no track is perfect for sure, but surface is pretty darn smooth through there. Car makes huge power at top end. I agree, probably air getting under there.
That is one badass 67 Impala..That beast probably weights close to 3200 pounds or less and hooks like a mofo..I would love to see him come south to the Texas Motorplex to watch it run..I saw the owner is from Chicago, my hometown so I might have to Route 66 instead to see it.
Its a full steel doors, roof, quarters car
