Lately I've been on this power metal journey and I come to find that each track I listen to draws me more and more into this unique genre. In this video I react to The Piper never dies by Edguy.

The whole Hellfire Club is a masterpiece, one of the best power metal albums ever done, Tobi is a genius ! And for me this is their best song. When you said that 3:34 you totally get what Tobi do, he always try to tell us a story in his lyrics, mostly in his other (and fantastic project) Avantasia, that is another brilliant band
Hell yeah i only found out about them maybe 1 or 2 months ago and now i bought a few cd's and yeah gotta say hellfire club may be the best one
One of the most underrated bands in metal, I've been listening to them for years thinking "why no love for the Edguy?".
I truely have no idea why this band never gets mentioned. It’s easily as amazing as Iron Maiden but it never gets any credit.

I saw them in 2006 for the first time. I was so lucky because they did play The Asylum. That was pretty rare for Edguy

I've been a Metalhead for around 45 years and these guys are my second favorite band of all time. Tobias is a musical genius!!! Favorite Metal band is Saxon, check them out!
Great song and reaction man. For me, this is the best song from Edguy. That end where he repets the word "never" lots of times is amazing. It's so Rock n' Roll.

Great album but doesn’t beat Mandrake
Edguy were on their way to becoming the next Iron Maiden back when this album came out. They were at their peak and this song is definitely the best Tobi ever wrote. Sad how Edguy started losing steam shortly after and Tobi went commercial with Avantasia. Still, we have 6-7 classic albums in a row from Edguy which remain some of the best in the genre to this day!

Tobias Sammet is not singing in Avantasia.
They just release a song with Floor Jansen of Nightwish called *Misplaced among the Angels* and its fakking gorgeous.
You should react to Avantasia - Another Angel Down from the flying opera tour ! Awesome metal symphonic opera metal that Tobias Sammet started in the early 2000 with plenty of amazing singers and musicians.
Please don't overlook "The Metal Opera" albums. Those are the best works Toby has ever done.

If any Avantasia it needs to be something from "The Metal Opera". Everything past those 2 albums were inferior products.

@@sylvainbedard5214 I never said those weren't good or "awesome" as you put it. I simply said the Metal Opera's are obviously the best, and the rest are not AS good. So, yes, when I say that it is "totally true". If anything should be listened to, it's something from one of the Metal Opera albums. There is no discussion.

Yo T, really enjoy watching your reaction videos,especially when it comes to power metal. If you're into Edguy you should check out Tobias Sammet's Avantasia. Now Avantasia is a side project created by Sammet who it involes a lot of guest artists from different bands and it's huge just like Edguy and they have about 7 albums out there. I really would like see your reaction on Avantasia. I suggest the song Shelter from the rain from the Scarecrow album released in 2007, which it features Micheal Kiske from Helloween. Peace ✌
After this video I explored Avantasia. I think in my first reaction to the I had no idea that it was Tobias. Lol
Excellent reaction man.. glad you dig it. Can't wait for you to hear Edguy's "Judas At the Opera".. that'll probably be my next request in a few weeks. I swear it's not as long as this one 😂 it's also pretty funny. The thing that separates Edguy from other power metal bands is their singer / writer Tobi has a wacky sense of humor..and some of their songs are just straight up hilarious.
Yes indeed. If find that you couldn't really take it too seriously but I did enjoy the fantasy aspect of it.
The Adventures of TNT Tobias tends to save his "serious" songs for his other project Avantasia, whereas Edguy is more of a "fun", self-aware metal band that doesn't mind making fun of itself occasionally.

An Italian band headed bu Luca Turilli goes by Rhapsody, Rhapsody of Fire, Luca Turilli's Rhapsody of Fire. I could really go on for a year as I have almost 12k songs across over 200 bands just for Heavy Metal and Sub-Metals.

Like something MTV would promote? When, in 1986? 😂 when has MTV promoted music lately? And when have they ever promoted Power metal? Or a 10 minute song for that matter. Helloween couldn't get arrested on MTV back in the day. At best that would've been on Headbangers ball IF Edguy had been around in the 80s. This doesn't seem like a genre that you'd enjoy or you don't particularly 'get'.. and that's cool.. different strokes.
Power metal is up there with my favorite genres, but this band just doesn't do it for me either. Just because i love power metal doesn't necessarily mean that i like all power metal bands.. in fact, the minority are incredible the others such as Edguy mediocre imo and it's sad :( Avantasia has songs that kill Edguy dead lol
TimeMatters nah.. nothing mediocre about this band. Also.. only difference between the 2 is Avantasia has more guest singers and does more "serious" songs, but both are Tobias' bands.. so they're 2 sides of the same coin. But whatever man. To each his own.
