Mike forgets....in 2004....in game 4....Arod hit a 2 run homer in game 4 in the 6th inning off bronson arroyo out on the street in fenway that made the score 4-2 yanks...it should have won the game and the series.....Mariono Rivera blew the game and game 5......by the way...Jeter batted below .200 in that 7 game fiasco....
I think the problem a lot of people had with this is that A-Rod confession was so vague that it seemed like he was not being 100% honest about everything
Personally, I could care less that A-rod took PED's and the fact that people are already concluding that his career is tarnished depresses me. Their is a blatant double standard when it comes to role models(Michael Phleps). Middle America must realize that these people never asked to be role models and that they are not culpable for the effect their actions have on us. It is we who allow ourselves to invest our trust in the exploits of people whom we do not know. America needs to get over it.
@mysteryskateteam true, but you can also say 2007 was his best season, but Im talking like in 96 when he hit 46 hrs and stole 46 bases, that combo is unreal. Thats when he was at his best IMO
WHEN JUST ABOUT EVERY BALL PLAYER WAS USING THESE "PED'S" I'M NOT AT ALL SURPRISED THAT A-ROD WAS DIRTY....I WOULD REALLY LIKE TO KNOW WHEN HE STARTED USING THESE THINGS... BY 2003 HE WAS STUPID TO STILL BE INTO THESE DRUGS....BUT IT HAVE TOO THINK THAT HE WAS INTO THESE DRUGS VERY...VERY EARLY IN HIS CAREER....THAT WOULD HURT HIM!!
Arods career is not over and those concluding his career are doing it cuz they hated him from the beginning. you have to look at what he has done prior to 2001 and after 2003. plus hes has 9 more years of dominating the game to proves those haters who hate him cuz his name is alex rodriguez that he can still play i mean look at the year he had in 05 and 07.
@badtown88 you made that comment over a year ago. before Arods insane postseason heroics. Without Arod the Yanks would still be sitting on #26. They might not have gottne out of the 1st round. Care to ammend your statement?... by the way I have been an Arod fan since he came to the Yanks. why wouldnt Yankee fans pull hard for a player of his caliber?
It is a shame that he did do steroids but he did admit it. It was in 2003 he was just traded to the Texas rangers and was under immense pressure to perform. He said himself he was young stupid and naive and he regrets it deeply. Since he was clean every single day that he was a New York Yankee . I think this whole thing is being blown out of proportion because on a list of 104 ppl who did steroids A-rod is the only one the media talks about
Cal Ripken .. wouldnt shock me.. because.. he didnt do anything wrong in his career.. a perfect professional.....a shame Cal had to compete with these types of idiots through 80's and early 90's.
is absolutely right, it's very unfair, why not expose the names of the other 103 players. just because we talk about alex, and because nothing else comes to the face, it is assumed that these tests were confidential, because 6 years after all this comes to light, as fanatica the Yankees as one of the fanatica Alex Rodriguez's best baseball and the Dominican Republic, I say that here there is something strange that is out of context.
yeah he also hit 54 clean and won 2 mvps scince then and batted 358 and hit 36 hr in his rookie season. he also hit 48 in 05. all clean. he cheated but u cant take the fact that arod is still a great player. the numbers he put in 03 are usally the types of seasons arod would have. and i still look up to him cuz no matter what i know hes a good ball player im not a fake ass fans like most yankee fans r. hes been my idol since i was 5 years old now im 17 and nothing has changed.
As an ex Yankee Fan I remeber when Soriano was traded to the rangers for A-Rod and I hated A-Rod and you know what I still don't like him. Bernie Williams and Paul O'neil will always be my Favorite Yankees. Also Shane Spencer.
we should not judge alex, that consumed steroids in 2003 and his stay with the Yankees has been cleaned, no matter what happens, is and will remain the best, was 2 times more valuable player, and many home runs he has given, and everyone makes mistakes and stupidity,
ehh youk isn't, manny idk, ill bet you papi isnt either. But tell me, how does your management play the "we didnt know" card so well, when theyve had like 6-7 players in the last 2 years on roids? Dont give me tht shit, THEY KNOW/KNEW
so do not come now crucified, the numbers are there and speak for themselves, and calculate the numbers of 2004 to date, in these years, there have been many tests that echo and it came out negative, and at that time steroids were allowed, alex, your true fans are with you and support you.
Arod took the brunt of this while Big Papi and Manny got off light. That's OK because Arod is going to be in the World Series and Manny and Big Papi will be watching on TV!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

do they have to use those airplane-like headphones at WFAN?? Back when 660 was WNNNNNBC, many dj's were wearing them, too.

What can you say now with the 5 rbi especially that home run

Mike Francesa is a complete clown and it's amazing he even has a job.

back afta dis
I still love A-Rod.
absolutely not
It's not like this is the first time it's happened in the MLB, but I'm disappointed in A-Rod. So much for 500+ CLEAN home runs.

A-Roids
He came up in the clutch against Boston this past week when the Yanks SWEPT the series.
yeah he also hit 54 clean and won 2 mvps scince then and batted 358 and hit 36 hr in his rookie season. he also hit 48 in 05. all clean. he cheated but u cant take the fact that arod is still a great player. the numbers he put in 03 are usally the types of seasons arod would have. and i still look up to him cuz no matter what i know hes a good ball player im not a fake ass fans like most yankee fans r. hes been my idol since i was 5 years old now im 17 and nothing has changed.
Francesa is the best.

As an ex Yankee Fan I remeber when Soriano was traded to the rangers for A-Rod and I hated A-Rod and you know what I still don't like him. Bernie Williams and Paul O'neil will always be my Favorite Yankees. Also Shane Spencer.
You don't know if any Dodgers are on the juice or not. Nobody knows.

@Wehategod what u mean by "ex-yankees"?
ehh youk isn't, manny idk, ill bet you papi isnt either.
But tell me, how does your management play the "we didnt know" card so well, when theyve had like 6-7 players in the last 2 years on roids? Dont give me tht shit, THEY KNOW/KNEW
Papi and Ramirez were both on roids in 2004.
so do not come now crucified, the numbers are there and speak for themselves, and calculate the numbers of 2004 to date, in these years, there have been many tests that echo and it came out negative, and at that time steroids were allowed, alex, your true fans are with you and support you.
