I believe that it doesn’t matter what score you get, racism is rampant against foundational black Americans, and I have been told that certain groups are paying under the table to get jobs. They are kicking foundational black Americans of of lists, no matter their score or education,
Oh no doubt! My dad is a retired MTA employee and he said that the MTA police even told him it doesn't what you know it's who you know. The people bring in their loved ones and whoever took the test can go ef themselves.
All i know is that if youre asian with no connections you have NO chance at these jobs. I've applied for so many city jobs and only 2 called me back only to ghost - jobs I could easily have done even when I was in highschool. Then I go and I see people working there who type with 2 fingers and can barely send an email.
I didn't know anyone when I got in. It was a really long wait. I applied 2009 they called me 2017. The who you know only play part if you're already in. Yeah, to move you might need to know someone but sometimes it's your work ethic
