He won Mini class in small bikes and tied for first in points in Sportsman big bike class but got second after the tie breaker. He could fly on that little Red rocket@@MotocrossHideout
I have a 2007 CR85R, and it’s the best bike I’ve ever owned. I’ll never get rid of it. You are correct, the power doesn’t half hit hard 😂 it’s like a mini 250, if that makes sense with how the power feels. I’m 5’10 and about 168lbs and the bike is perfect for me (big wheel). Find it much better to ride than a full sized bike unless I’m on an MX track jumping far, but aside from that there is plenty of power and top speed on the 85R. An amazing bike and it’s a shame they don’t make them anymore. Very unique bike indeed. Good video. One thing though, go up two teeth in the rear sprocket and get an FMF shorty to increase the low end power and they are perfect trial bikes, but again you are correct that with the standard sprocket and silencer setup they don’t have much low end but you can certainly improve this drastically.
Different sprocket for shorter gearing, different pipe/reeds for low-end torque, and maybe a flywheel weight. Even then it's not going to be nearly as easy to ride as a 4 stroke trail bike on the trails.

He is right about the power curve. I have an 04 model and its either flying or stalling
Non-powervalve motors can be tough. My son won his first championship on one
On a CR85? Nice!

Nice, thanks for watching and sharing!
I have a Honda 2005 cr 85 and the thing has the most insane power band ever
The scariest most wicked powerband I ever experienced was on a 1979 YZ125. Honestly that bike would rip your arms off 😉 the good ole days!
second gear and 6th gear love to go out for some odd reason
Interesting. Sounds like you've had experience with that before, Antonio...
@@MotocrossHideout sadly ive have

Any idea what i should put on it to help for trail riding?
