    That headline is a joke...the AIR FORCE has been trying to shut down and get rid of the A-10 for years. It's the Army, and Marines that love the A-10...it's saved thousands of American lives. The Air force is in bed with the American military industrial complex and spending money on new toys. The A-10 is in their way. They've (the Air Force brass) have proposed almost a dozen new plane projects to take the A-10's place...NONE can do the job like the A-10...which is why it's still around.
