Such a relaxed, informative interview, with a very relaxed Matthew Lopez, revealing what a talent and what a lovely human being he is - which is exactly what comes across in the entire ambience of RWARB . Best summed up by his principle of "freedom in the frame" for the actors. Whether it wins all the awards it should remains debatable: juries are famous for being frightened off by ground breaking, life enhancing films such as this. But the main things that make this so loved, such a milestone and gaining such audience love and acclaim are really all that matters, ultimately - that one-on-one effect. And all looking good for a strong sequel that moves the story of Alex and Henry into new territory. Counting down begins!

I am in healthcare and only a casual consumer of films. In fact, my first love is true crime documentaries and not fiction. Everyone who worked on this production seemed so dedicated and devoted to excellence. The final product is a masterpiece, IMO. Congratulations on a fine work of art which will endure for a long time.
