    Oh my crocheting goddess. I had major surgery in beginning of January. So flat on me back, I made a pair of wrist warmers!! Taa daa! They are for my sister, who is in a wheel chair and her palms get sore. They are a bit wonky but I couldn't be prouder. Thank you! After completion I felt like I could Crochet an entire doll house..lol what I really need is an overview of all the crocheting and knitting items? Like tiny plastic rings? As of now I toss them at my godson who catches them on knitting needle. Quite exciting to a four year old.Next week I can try sitting up..whooo hooo. Must admidt doing this on drug has been quite exciting! My ultimate goal is a Mandela poncho for both my sister and I. My kids are a bit Peter, for every video of yours I see, I send them off to store to purchase me required items...lol. I just remind them bout how many late night pharmacy and emergency room runs I made!!!lol lol. Keep knitting and crocheting goddess! I usually make jewelry but slowly getting into this stuff. Thanks again! Shawnee. P.S. what is blocking???

      Blocking is when you take your item and soak it (if you're using woollen yarn) then pin it out and let it dry. This relaxes the yarn and makes everything sit neater and nicer. If you use acrylic, you can pin it and gently steam it with an iron (not letting the iron touch your project!) and that'll make it sit flatter and neater. I use it a lot for doilies :) x

    hey Hannah,
    thanks so much for the tutorial in the thread crochet. yes I can see that it's very tiny work, but the reason for wanting to do thread crochet instead of regular yarn is because I kept stretching my yarn when trying to crochet anything. I noticed that your fingernail polish matched your thread, really cute. I am a bit too old for wearing the choker, but hopefully soon I will be attempting to make some crochet flowers and small doilies, as they are too expensive to buy. thanks again so much. I enjoy your waffling on as you say, I could listen to you all day if I didn't have to do other stuff.
    LOVE your videos.
    sincerely, Becky B from Arkansas

      It would be cute as a bracelet too, if you just chained fewer stitches at the beginning :) Thank you for your kind words xx

      Lol Diana, that's not weird at all! I love chokers but can't stand turtle necks shirts/sweaters. ;) lol

      I feel weird about these things too, or at least it musn’t contain metal, I wear bracelents only made of strings. But I’ve never wore neclaces. I think choker would be fine for me tho, so I’m gonna try this.

    I believe you read the pattern wrong it says to "dc ch 1 dc in next st, sk 2 st". Instead of double crocheting into the next stitch you double crocheted into the same stitch. In the end I liked the way your pattern came out better.

    • @thecornerofcraft
      @thecornerofcraft  7 лет назад

      The row starts out with you doing a dc into the same stitch as you're chaining from. Then into the next stitch, you have to [dc ch1 dc]. I hope that makes sense! x

    Will baby blanket yarn work also?

    • @thecornerofcraft
      @thecornerofcraft  2 года назад

      It will be a lot thicker and chunkier. If you want your choker to be chunky, you can use it. You may just have to adjust the amount of chains you start with x
