I dont plug my patreon in the videos because I want to keep the content pure and timeless. However currently I am accepting for support in the early months as i recently quit my day job to push this series as far as it can go. If you visit the patreon page, there is a video that explains my whole story. / boundarybreak

3:12 HOLY CRAP!!! That's the room I helped PlayTonic design! I was one of the "Help shape the game" backers, and that, right there, is the room I built with them!
What did you do with it?
???
Whoa, awesome man!
"And i thought it would never end"
well, now you know how it feels to be hated for something you've created =D
And I have no intention of ever letting that end!
"Naturally, I'd do what anybody would do and went into Trouser's pants"
I've been laughing for like a whole 2 minutes because of this lmao
THAT THING WITH THE PRESS OH MY GODDDDDD
THAT IS SO COOL!!!!!!!
I know right?!?!?
NNNNIIITTTTRRRROOO RRRRAAADDDD
I'm just happy that I was able to help you with this episode! If there's any other Unity game I should crack open, just tell me and I'll give it a try :)
(why haven't you shown the "fake" Yooka and Laylee below the bridge during the intro? Tss tss tss ;) )
It's Macho Man himself! thank you so so much for contacting me about the camera and helping me to set it up dude. Couldnt be more grateful
Shesez one question, isn't this a Switch Game?
SweetheartJayce... google it and you would have known in 5 seconds what its all about with Yooka and Laylee
hey man, great episode. I loved that you involved the developers, congrats! ^^
Thanks Shez!
This game is absolutely beautiful even from weird and unsusual angles.
Do a Sonic 06 episode!
Alexandar Rodriguez
Yesss
That Samus Main This comment made my day even though it only lasts 47 more minutes.
That Samus Main 😂
The one infinite jump gem, yep.
Alexandar Rodriguez yeasss omg
I love your channel, and it's been awesome watching it grow from the first video. Keep breaking those boundaries!
Been following you since the very beginning and I really love the show. It's inspiring to see you putting so much passion into it, especially since you're not in an easy situation. I hope the show will continue for a long long time. Keep up the great work man, thumbs up!
comments like this make it all worth it. Thank you Danny!
Yooka-Laylee videos from Shesez *and* Beta64 in the same weekend?! I must be in heaven!
Great vid as always Shesez, made even better with developer insight. Knowing exactly why the things you found are the way they are really added a lot to the experience. Keep up the good work!
Another damn good episode. You are quickly becoming one of my favorite content creators ever. Keep doing an amazing job, man.
I'm so glad your channel has blown up. I've been here since the beginning. Keep up the good work fam
Rafael Rosado its funny. it doesnt feel like ive blown up. but i guess i should feel that way when i stop to think about it.
Shesez I'm proud of you. Your channel is growing quickly and you're doing what you love
Nice video man! Keep them up! Ive been watching these since the beginning, and always love watching these!
I've been subscribed since you made your 5th video so I love seeing how quick your growing your videos feed my Intreats of "cool things out of the map" so thank you for producing AWESOME content! I tune in for every video because I know it'll be awesome
Jeremy Priban dang man, thank you so much for there for so long
I can't believe it's been 53 episodes already! I look forward to each episode with enthusiasm, and I can't wait for episode 54! Keep up the absolutely incredible work!
Thank you so much for getting the developers side of the story!! i love this series!!
Watching people react to stuff like the press' animation makes me realize how much us animators fool the average viewer with tricks like that. XD
It's really cool that you got to talk to the devs to get questions answered! It would be great if this happened more often, hopefully more game devs will agree to this!
Thanks for this wonderful episode ! Loved the explanation from the guys who worked on the game, wish we could have this for every episode but too bad that's impossible~
This channel is so good. Really underrated for amount of quality it has. By far one of my favorite channels
Eli sports I had no idea this channel was underrated.
Very fascinating how often they use the shrink-and-grow animation technique to hide stuff. Really cool!
Thanks for another really interesting Boundary Break! I really love this series.
Lorem Ipsum is placeholder text, but it isn't gibberish. It's actually Latin. Albeit, heavily editted and scrambled from it's original text. Okay, it's gibberish... But it's Latin gibberish!
Does it matter if who is in grimlock that what scatters the text of the oesophagus?
It's derived from the Latin phrase "Dolorem Ipsum", which means "pain unto itself" or "the pain/sorrow itself." It's from the writings of Cicero.
This is exactly what I've been waiting for. Spectacular episode man! Loved it!
thank you dude!
One of the best episode so far, awsome work dude
Great video, man! I've been anticipating this and Beta64's Yooka-Laylee video for so long now! Keep up the great work!
Yesssssssssssssssss!!!! I love Yooka-Laylee so much and it's about time that you make a Boundary Break episode of it, thank you Shesez! :3
Love this series so much, keep up the great work :)
This was amazing! Keep up the great work
Really liked the editing this episode!
Thanks JDM!
Gasp!
This is the one I suggested!
Oh.. you were gonna do it anyway?
I...I knew that..
Awesome man! Keep it up! I was waiting for an update 👍🍕
Hey you want to know all about Yooka Laylees development? My good friend
Beta64 just dropped his video all about it including guests from
Playtonic! ruclips.net/video/rw5pEZz19cc/видео.html
Shesez, please do a Tomodachi life video! I'm really curious how they made it.
I like using these links. Its like hopping into a portal and you see a video on the other side! :P
Shesez Is there anyway you could ever do Pokemon Snap? Dunno if there is anyway you could gain free control of the camera in it, but it would be awesome if you could. thanks for all your videos
Shesez I'm still waiting for my crash bandicoot wrath of cortex episode please !
how do you get your boundary break logo on the character?
What's up RUclips? Why wasn't this on my feed? I only found out this got released from the related videos sidebar.
Anyway, RUclips frustration aside, great video as always! It was awesome to have Playtonic team up with you to answer certain questions.
"Welcome to episode (number) of a ongoing series. Where we... basically take the camera..... Anywhere we want.." Ill remember that forever.
And we try to find secrets and new discoveries to some of our favorite games!
:D
That's really awese for the developers to offer answers and insight to why and how the game works. I love this series so much
Thank you for another on point positive look into gaming 😊 I love what you're doing man
This episode was really awesome, especially with all the director commentary!
(Also I love the MST3K shirt!!!)
Thanks man!
(Thanks man!)
That is amazing that developers got to answer the questions
don't know that we needed this one quite yet. i mean most people havent even had enough time to explore the normal game to start getting excited about off camera stuff.
Father AxeKeeper i needed it. too big of a fan not to
well do what you gotta do Shesez. Still hoping for a BB of an AKI/THQ n64 wresting game.
This game was so good if you enjoyed Banjo Kazooie. Highly recomments
Thanks for doing this, I'm actually playing through the game right now! :D
YES! Yooka-Laylee finally Boundary Break! Excitement! :P
Subscribed!
Great video mate :) thanks so much for the spoiler warning! I was spoiled on the beehive and the helicopter transformation but that's fine!
Cool editing in this video!
Wow! You're pretty lucky that you got in touch with the developers of this game!
worth the wait,loved it
5327indarkness thanks man. im glad i didnt disappoint
ALREADY 150K
I AM SO PROUD OF THIS COMMUNITY
Best channel on RUclips.
Best episode yet!
Please do Super Mario 3D World!!!
or land
Yeah, those games are a must, since the camera is restrictive as hell... that would be a long episode and stream.
Yes! that'd be great
Great Video! It was missing zoom ins of Laylee but fair enough! I wish I could just play this game!
Hooray Shesez likes yookalaylee! Loads of other RUclipsrs hate it just because they're mad at the game but honestly I don't see anything wrong with it!
That animatiom reset was the coolest!
Another great episode =)
Thank you Steve!
7:02 was my favourite Scene! XD
I absolutely love the duo's dumb smiley faces.
Bring back memories of banjo kazooie
But different character and graphics
Can you look at Pokemon SUN and MOON?
Here's some things you could look at:
1. Is it possible that the islands are loaded in the same plane?
2. How far out does the world/Battle World go?
3. Can you get a closer look at the Simulation Dome around the Champion's Room?
That "cutscene vs gameplay" model swap technique is used by a lot of games actually.
In MGSV it looks like even the shading gets more precise during cutscenes and some cutscenes with big close ups even cause FPS to drop.
Don't know why but I just thought of this. How about a Diddy Kong Racing episode? For example (Spoilers) On the character selection screen Diddy actually has a tail despite never being seen in-game due to the camera angle (shoutout to The Cutting Room Floor for that interesting tidbit) Plus Banjo and Conker are in it so that's cool seeing as how you did Banjo-Kazooie and Conker's Bad Fur Day :)
great video, subscribed. RUclips keeps recommending these videos of people making videos about why such and such game sucks. You seem like you genuinely enjoyed Yooka Laylee and making the video and that's appreciated. Keep up the positivity!
Oh for sure, yooka laylee was an absolutely great time
Shesez really outdid himself this time! The only way he could top this would be by actually interviewing the developers.
Nice free camera work. :)
WAIT- yookalaylee is a full game now?! Good on you, Playtonic! last time I checked it was free beta
Can't watch this until the Switch version comes out, but adding this to watch later for now, and looking forward to it!
deliberately made this rather spoiler free! i do give a spoiler warning to just one part towards the end
The "Letter Pollution" letters that get removed as they go down are not normal objects.
Unity allows you to use fully shader-rendered meshes for particle effects, it's something that I use often myself.
The letters are just part of a particle system, hence they can automatically randomise in size, speed, orientation.
This also means that while they do vanish as they go down, the main renderer for the particle system is still active and the particle meshes remain loaded.
underrated game of the year, YL was the BEST!
Allow me to introduce...
The Honey Egg! You won’t have to worry about any annoying shells. Just eat it all in one bite. Tastes good.
*Bites it*
*Throws up everywhere*
u made me so jelly I'm gonna get the game for my birth day but ill have to wait another month XDD I love your videos
Awesome that the developers answered your questions... just wish my made a more inspired game to share with you
do you ever disappoint
Check out the Conker Episode! Thats a major ball of disappointment
Keep it coming! :) Also, a request: Star Fox and Stunt Race FX for the SNES!
mario kart 8 deluxe please i would die to see outside of some of the maps like animal crosiing and wild woods
derpster derp Not possible for Deluxe, it is possible in the original Mario Kart 8 though.
derpster derp i agree!!!
It's weird, because I just got finished watching the Boundary Breaking Ocarina of Time LIVE video, and you were talking about this video. And here it is!
Also, #NotificationSquad.
I know this is going to be a great episode
And it was :D
Great work, and I like you got Playtonic involved with answering some of your questions.
By the way, how did you guys pull this off? Do you have a certain tool that allows you to freeroam around with the camera, or was it only through some mod/exploit for this game? There are a few Steam games I would like to see for myself with unrestricted camera, but I have no idea how to do it. The only games I've ever been able to use unrestricted cameras on, are the ones from Dolphin Gamecube and Wii emulator.
YESSS!!! more Boundary Break!!!
Kinda surprised you didn't show any footage of Moodymaze Marsh or Galleon Galaxy was kinda hoping for a birds eye view of the moving log section in the former due to it resembling Frogger...
Following him on Twitter, it's because people didn't want to watch this episode if it would've contained too many spoilers. The spoiler here is relatively mild, taking into account that the same "room" was used in the second Capital B "intermission"-style cutscene (the first after the intro!).
Also, enabling the magic camera takes the control away from the player for good reasons (the game's camera system is just too fancy), so showing that off from another perspective while playing it would've been quite hard :)
tried to keep this episode relatively spoiler free. Might remake it some day with all stages
Shesez Perhaps that would make for a good steam? Or maybe there's no good way to level hop.
Please do
I still don't understand how anyone can call anything in this game spoilers.
I mean, did anyone play Banjo for the plot?
Great video
I just read the description, go for it! You have our entire support! As a recommendation, you should do Bloodborne! :) Keep up the good work!
"Lorem Ipsum" isn't actually gibberish, it's written in Latin and it's an extract from an obscure Roman text. I think its use as test or filler text goes back to the early days of the printing press in the 18th century, though why that passage specifically was chosen... I have no idea.
I had a great time playing this game and getting to revisit it through a shesez video with developer commentary was truly magic! Thanks for making my day.
A very useful guidance for Unity users
I FINALLY FOUND YOU! I saw one of your videos an I completely forgot to subscribe, these vids are awesome!
Is it possible to do skyrim, I would love to see what the everybody else is doing while your busy saving the world as dragonborn?
My goodness Shesez! Where do you find the time to
Fantastic video for a fantastic game :D It would be awesome if someone could upload zoomed-out (bird's eye view) map images of the different areas. I can looka at these kinds of maps for hours.
No, I didn't do this just for the 'love' Shesez.
I did it cause you're a great content creator and you deserve more views!
Okay maybe a tiny bit for the 'love'.
"So naturally I did what anybody would do. I went Inside trousers pants"
[Wheeze]
1:08 seems like mario hat eyes jump from his hat
Looking at the letter pollution, I'd guess that it's actually a particle effect, as it's easier to have it rise and fall by gravity with a simple particle system than hand animated convincing-looking rising and falling, and it's less resource intensive than spawning actual intractable physics objects.
I'm not sure if there would be anything interesting hidden out of bounds in Max Payne, but I'd love to see an episode on Max Payne or Max Payne 2, even if its not much. Just to kill my curiosity. Though, whatever games you wind up doing, keep up the good work!
Oh my god thank you.
awesome!!!!
cannot wait for the switch version
I have to admit trousers the snake is a SUPER creative character
I'm planning on getting the Nintendo Switch version when it releases, are there any spoilers I should watch out for in the video or am I safe to watch? Either way, can't wait to watch it!
I really like this game and great video
