I have been following along doing this on my program with you. But I am now stuck at connecting the nodes. I select the two images click on node on the left side under the arrow. But it doesnt show all the nodes when i click on the images.. and if i try to select the specific node it deselects everything else.

You need to hold down Shift when you select the node so it will not deselect everything else.
